Our family of 4 people had spent 16 nights on Jeju Island. Our last stop was at Grabel Hotel and this was the worst hotel!
We had arrived just before 12pm. We knew normal check in time is 3pm.
I waited until 1.30pm to ask receptionists if there was a room available as we had 2 elderly people in their 80s in our group.
Answer was earlier check in charge was KRW20K.
I said previous 3 hotels had all allowed us to check in earlier due to elderly people being weaker needing to have more rest. They said: "We are not other hotels."
Indeed, they are NOT as sympathetic as other hotels for sure!
At 2pm, I ask them again - What is your check out time please?
They said: 11am. I said it is 3 hours by now. You must have at least 1 room available by now for our 2 elderly people to get in to their room earlier to have a rest first please?
They then agreed for me to show them 4 passports and fill in their form first.
After that, they said they could let us in at 2.30pm.
All our previous hotels had a check out time of 12pm but they had all kindly allowed our elderly people to get in to their room at around 1pm.
Eventually at 2.33pm, they had given me our room keys.
I had never ever seen any hotel receptionists being so rude, cruel, unreasonable and unsympathetic as that man and that woman receptionists being on duty on that day on 26th July 2024!!!
This so called 4 star hotel does NOT have a gym! HOW COULD THEY BE 4 STAR WITHOUT A GYM?
MOULD SPOTS ON SHOWER CORNERS!!!
