Fantastic location
Overall the stay was good. We booked very last minute and the hotel reception staff were very accommodating. They are obviously undergoing a massive refurbishment but the receptionist was up front and honest and said that we could have a newly refurbished room as opposed to the refurbished room that we had booked. The pool was closed, as was the ‘nightclub’ and these areas are being used for storage of the refurb materials however this was not an issue for us. The location was fantastic and St Joseph’s itself was a lovely place to visit. Don’t be put off by the negative reviews as the hotel staff were more than accommodating and happy to work with you to make the most of your stay. Once the hotel refit is complete I am sure that this will once again be a top choice

Nothing was as stated. There was no pool. There was no useable fitness center. There was no restaurant or bar. The rooms smells, had stains all over the carpet and walls. I am shocked that Expedia allows them to list this place with all these amenities and there is nothing.

The Staff was nice however the property was not the same as shown in the pictures online, outdated and abandoned. The carpets were stained and the second elevator wasn’t working, they also had minimal breakfast and the bagels were moldy :,( sigh <\3

Great Location, Still renovating
I booked this hotel for a birthday trip and was willing to pay a little more per night for the walking distance to downtown. The location of this hotel is a 10/10. That alone may be worth the price. You can walk to the beach, all the downtown shops, a gas station, bars, etc. and there is free parking. The staff was so nice and the room was clean and comfortable. Our only complaints about the room were the lack of shelves in the shower, the lack of closet (there is a rack to hang clothes from just no closet doors), and the TV. Our TV was pixelated on every channel and when we asked the front desk about it they said they had wiring issues. While the room had a balcony, it had spider webs on it and it was shared with the room next to us with just a metal fence in between. The hotel did have free breakfast but it was very minimal. It consisted of bagels, muffins, yogurt, cereal, and fruit. No waffles. It is clear that they are still working on the renovations of this hotel but if the price stays the same, we would stay here again. It was worth all the small problems just for the comfy and clean room and the distance to downtown.

NOTHING at the hotel was as advertised. We booked a king standard. We were given a handicap-accessible room. The clerk told me that I had booked this. I did not. The hallways smell, the carpet and paint looks awful. The tv and phone in our room did not work. The night clerk offered another room, which was a double queen. I took a look at the room. It was in worse condition than our current room and it smelled AWFUL. There is NO pool. There is NO restaurant. There are building materials everywhere. There is a hotel branded limo in the parking lot with a police "move it or it gets towed" sticker. Our room was apparently right on top of some sort of mechanical house because ALL NIGHT LONG we heard loud noises, like something starting up and then shutting down...and it happened every 30 seconds. Expedia's support weren't much help. The first agent offered me Key Points for my inconvenience but no, we couldn't leave earlier than planned because the hotel's policy was no refund for early check out. Without warning, that agent was gone and someone else was in the chat. THIS person told me that I would have to dispute the charge with my bank, but he "didn't think" I would be charged for the second night. When I told him I had screenshots of the entire conversation, he claimed to have called the hotel and worked things out for me. I cannot tell you how disappointed I am in both this hotel and expedia's so-called Customer Service.

Was clean but nothing like pictures on hotels web pool was not useable they were storing new toilets in pool area for future renovations to rooms tv had snow fuzz on every channel I don’t exspect this from a room that cost over 150 a night
