Great Location! Excellent Host!
We loved this neat house full of fun personality and history! Staying with kids and teens is fun because of the fun stories you can create with the old photos. We were able to watch the smart TV after a wonderful long walk on the trails through the town and see beautiful wildlife! We went to the local coffee shop both days for delicious coffee and treats!! Quick trip to Hershey for fun too! Excellent host and communication!

Quirky For Sure
We chose this place for the proximity to where we were visiting and for its history. Trust the reviews commenting on the quirkiness and the crazy stairs. The house is really old and it shows in every room from the old closed off fireplaces to the creaky floors and super steep stairs. Not sure if it’s haunted but there were a couple questionable things that happened that made us wonder. The only complaint, if you want to call it that, was the house could have been a bit more clean in some areas, but nothing we were too concerned about.

Very nice vintage home.
Everything was great in the house! What you would expect in a much older home. It was clean and comfortable. Location was great because i was raised on a farm just outside of town. So we had a lot of family/friends to visit so the location was perfect. Host, Kim was very nice and always got right back to us with any inquiries we had. The bathtub would be the biggest we downfall of the house. The claw tub was nice, but when showering there wasnt .uch room Stairs are steep and original, but we managed and we are seniors! Everyhing was comfy and homey. Any quirks would just be chalked to being a very old home. All in all a great stay and we were able to stay an extra day. areseniors.claustrophobiwhenshowering.

Unique stay in Central PA
My friends and I had a great stay at this home. It is an incredibly unique home. We had fun exploring the rooms and creating stories for the characters throughout. The home had all the amenities we needed for the weekend stay, and having the local businesses close by (driving or walking) was great. Would certainly book this location again!

Cozy, one of kind historic home
It was everything our family hoped it would be. We saw the age and history through the photos and it was better in person. Built in 1800 it brought you back to when times were simple but with updated more modern features. Updated washer and dryer. Bathrooms were great. Beds were comfortable. Tv had roku so we could log in to our streaming apps on a rainy night. We loved the character of the place. Stairs were a challenge with our big feet but i wouldn’t change them. I would add a tablecloth to dining room table since you can't put anything on it without it leaving a mqrk.we recommend staying here and would stay again when we are in the area. Host responded and communicated well.

Clean, cute and comfy
Place is cute and overall good but old and creaky and has its quirk(old tub/shower). My family and i enjoyed staying here bc of the space we had to ourselves compared to hotels/motels. It's a 25 min drive to Hershey World. It's set on a main st so sometimes car/motorcycles speed by with excessive noise and engine rev'ing. Communication was good but could always be better. Again, overall good experience.

Quirky Time Capsule
We stayed at this house for a weekend while our son was playing a baseball tournament in the Hershey area. It’s definitely a quirky old house that takes you back in time. There are lots of neat historical touches in the house and we had fun exploring it. Definitely not a place for anyone with physical challenges as the stairs and the bathroom are not disability friendly. The location is great with a nice coffee shop right across the street and a grocery store a good pizza place just down the road. Parking was also a plus with spots right in front.

Home away from home.
My out of town daughters and granddaughters stayed with me in this home to have a little more space for a long weekend. Staying in such an old house definately made our weekend more fun and interesting. The house is wonderful with all its quirky features. The host was great as well. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Time capsule
This house is situated on the mainstreet of a quiet old town. Walking into this house is entering a time capsule with the antique interior, from the lights to wood floors. Out the backdoor is a patch of grass covered yard, perfect for the dog in your family. The three bedrooms are at the top of a set of old fashioned stairs, that you will need to take care using. The four beds are very firm with plenty of pillows and blankets. The main bathroom is also upstairs. The water pressure and hot water are amazing. The note on the fridge from the host asks that the pets be crated while you are out of the house and to keep the pet of the future. Which is a respectful request to protect the house. My tips for renting this house are to bring mattress foams for those who need a softer nights rest, bring crate for pet, bring laundry soap (double check if washer/dryer are in working order) and if you prefer filtered water, buy Crystal Geyser drinking water, it is the best.

Good stay.
It is definitely an old place. I like older properties though since Im a history person. So the timelss stay definitely fit the advertising. It could use some detailed instructions on where to put the garbage and things like that but besides that a good place to stay for the price. Be warned on the stairs...not for elderly or frail people. They were put in before the safety standards I suppose. It was more like climbing a ladder. Also the clawfoot tub is not for a fragile person. You have to step up into it...almost climb in. I loved the host though. Very easy to communicate with and very responsive.

Not a place for older people. The house is very quirky. Very clean and fairly comfortable. Stairs are a nightmare, very steep and narrow. To shower you need to get in claw foot tub with no grab bars or anything to hang onto. If you aren't fully awake, when you open the frig you will be! The creak in the hinges will wake you. The kitchen faucet may end up in your hand! It could be much nicer with some quick changes. Maybe listing the history of the house would people accept the quirks.

This house is a whooole viiibe!
Listen, you’ve gotta appreciate old houses…very old houses…and we do! Not gonna lie, we arrived at night and it had a very haunted house vibe but we were down for the adventure! Old, eclectic furniture, oil paintings, knickknacks, estate sale type of decor which matched the house and the area perfectly (though it’s hard to tell this from the online pics)…It’s definitely an experience…kind of hard to put it into words actually bc it is unlike any place we have ever stayed. We thought it was really cool but it may not be for everyone. If luxury and modern amenities is your thing, this one may not fit your style…it felt like staying in a museum, or a time capsule…it was very cozy for hanging around in though, very comfortable…our main complaint would be that there is not one decent sized bed in the house. There are two fulls and two singles, and bc my husband and I weren’t comfortable (small, old, super springy and small full mattress), we had to sleep in separate rooms. Also, the shower situation needs some attention. It’s a cool old claw foot tub but a pipe has been Jerry-Rigged with a shower head at the end of it and there is no way to adjust it, also no way to keep the water from getting out on to the floor so the whole situation is kind of flustering. All in all it is clean and has what you need (kitchen stuff etc.). The kids decided they loved it bc it was “cool”and “kooky” and with a few tweaks, my husband and I would 💯 agree! The owner was incredibly responsive!
