The Space:
What is Arrowleaf, you ask? Arrowleaf Balsamroot (Balsamorhiza sagittata) is a sunshiny flower that graces the West and has been used by many Native American groups for both food and medicine. Arrowleaf House pays tribute to this special plant and invites you to come stay in this beautifully remodeled home while you explore the amazing flora and fauna of the Southwest.
Arrowleaf House boasts a modern open floor plan, where the living room, kitchen, and dining area seamlessly connect, creating a feeling of spaciousness for up to six guests. The Neighborhood:
Arrowleaf is located in the Kanab Creek Ranchos, a very family-friendly neighborhood nestled against the hills surrounding Kanab. It's a short drive to Ranchos Park, which has plenty of space to relax and play your favorite games in the large, open, grassy space. The park also includes a walking trail - perfect for going on a stroll with your loved ones and pets!
There's plenty to do with state and national parks nearby, but if you're looking for something more low-key for a day or two, consider the local hikes featured on the flyers in our house book: Squaw, Bunting and K-hill, all offering wonderful views. As well, Jacob Hamblin park has a playground, field, pool with slides, splash pad, and tennis/pickleball courts; Kanab City Library is nearby and often has books for sale; Ranchos Park has great baseball fields; Best Friends Animal Sanctuary has great guided tours (they welcome donations). Also consider the local restaurants, bakeries, and ice cream shops.

This home has convenient access to Hwy 89A/89 which takes you to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, Zion and Bryce National Parks, Lake Powell, as well as the north rim of the Grand Canyon.
Here in southern Utah a vehicle is required to get around in town and beyond. We recommend a 4WD vehicle with high clearance if you intend to go off-road to out of the way places.

Other Things to Note:
The backyard is meant for you to enjoy. If you use the fire pit we ask that you please store the chair covers in the storage bin provided (located against the house when you walk out the back door) and re-cover the chairs if you are going to be gone for the day. This will help protect them from bird droppings and the wind. When finished using the fire pit, please tuck the tubes under the pit. Thank you!
There is a complete set of BBQ accessories for you to use when grilling outside. They are stored in a black hard case and are located in the cupboard above the washer in the laundry room. Please wash them and return them to their proper place when finished. Thanks for your help!
Again, this property is a pet friendly property and does require a $50 pet fee if you plan on bringing your furry friends. Pet Policy: 2 dogs allowed per reservation. Pets are NOT allowed to be unattended in the home and must be in a crate if left alone. There is a crate provided for you if you need it.
