The apartment is located on the top floor and includes a cozy, bright kitchen with GS, oven, ceramic hob, fridge with freezer, filter coffee machine and coffee machine for soluble coffee powder, kettle, toaster, cheese and meat fondue dishes, raclette oven, radio with CD / cassette player, 1 bathroom with shower, 1 bedroom with 2 single beds, 1 bedroom with 1 double bed (1. 60m) and 1 cot (length 1. 20m), this bedroom can be separated by a sliding door to 1 bedroom with 1 single bed. For 6-7 people there is 1 sofa bed in the living room (1. 40m). A living room in old wood with a beautiful wall unit and large flat screen satellite TV, a sofa with 2 armchairs and a beautiful view. Parking at the front door. The house is on a slope, surrounded by green areas and the edge of the forest, a little above Kandergrund. The access road is steep and narrow, but not dangerous (the last 150m) and access is not guaranteed in the winter months depending on the snow conditions. Parking (1 parking space) in this case about 200m below, walk about 4 -6 minutes up a steep street.
Snow chains are recommended in winter.
Large terrace for shared use is two floors / stairs below with parasol and garden furniture. Shops in the village shop (bakery with groceries) or in Frutigen (5km) Coop / Migros.
WLAN / Wi-Fi and cot free of charge.
Bed - terry towels and kitchen linen available, per person for bed linen and terry towels each CHF 10.00 per stay, 1 rubbish bag incl. Each other on request (per piece CHF 1. 90), tourist tax not included. No pets. Not wheelchair accessible.

Great location- wonderful property
The apartment was perfect for our family of 5 adults. It was clean and spacious and the views were amazing. The location was perfect for exploring. Check in and check out was easy, and we always had a quick response from Heidi with any questions we might have. We would definitely stay there again.

Well situated, clean and spacious apartment, with spectacular views!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the apartment is exceptionally clean and so well situated for exploring such a beautiful part of the world. We were given a very warm welcome despite arriving late and the apartment was well equipped with everything we needed as well as plenty of space for our family of 5. There is so much to do nearby that we hope to be back!

Wonderful genuine Swiss getaway
Heidi is an excellent host and her daughter could speak enough English for us to communicate. The road leading to her house is two way but should be one way. It was an amazing time with our family and we thank Heidi for sharing her home!

Amazing
The property is excatly as described actually the place even more cleaner in real life. Heidi and her daughter made us feel so welcome and at home. I will highly recommend this place . The place is well stocked with games and book. There is a grocery store in the next town for groceries. I know where we would be staying if we come back . The scenary is breathtaking. I enjoyed my evening tea on the patio looking at the beautiful mountains.

Perfect for Families!
We had the best stay at Heidi's beautiful Swiss home. Out of many rentals over many years of traveling, this is our favorite! Not only is the area stunning and beautiful, but the house was perfectly equipped for our family of 5. We cooked dinner each night in the well-stocked kitchen and had room to spread out at night. Heidi and her daughter are great hosts and very helpful. We'll definitely be back!

Beautiful! Lovely setting and comfortable and homey apartment!
We really enjoyed staying at Heidi's house. The apartment had everything we needed. We especially loved the cozy Stube (or living room). The views of the surrounding alps were breathtaking. The drive up to the apartment was a little sketchy, but there was a place to park at the bottom of the street, which pleased my husband. I would definitely stay here again and I would recommend it to my family members and friends!!

Beautiful Swiss Home
We stayed for a second time at Frau Schranz's beautiful Swiss home. The upstairs apartment is well equipped with comfortable beds, a spacious living room, WiFi, and everything we needed in the kitchen. It is a perfect location for exploring the area - we went on many picture postcard hikes. Frau Schranz and her daughter are very helpful and kind. We highly recommend!

Highly recommend this cozy, delightful Swiss rental!

Clean, Comfy and Great Location Apartment
We stayed for 3 nights with 4 adults and 2 kids in Oct and it was a fun stay. House was very clean and comfy and had all the facilities. We cooked our own food using the oven. Dishwasher was handy too. Location is easily accessible on car with 40min drive to Interlaken OST station if you plan to visit Jungfrou or interlaken lakes. Heidi is a very good host. She stayed up late to receive us and handed over the house keys. She also helped us with getting a Swiss compatible plug and have a visitor card which gives some discount to local food and activities. I would highly recommend this property to anyone without any doubt.

We spent 3 lovely days in this beautiful holiday apartment. The views from the windows were stunning. It was very well equipped and nice and roomy. Heidi had left us a dish of chocolates and some chocolate biscuits. It certainly exceeded our expectations.

Beautiful mountain holiday!
We stayed in this lovely home for 4 nights with our 3 kids. The location is stunning, overlooking the valley at Kandergrund. Our GPS took us the long way, which was a very narrow and steep drive, but after we arrived we saw that you can come up from the main road and cross under the train line in front of the house. Highly recommended! The house itself is a simple but comfortable home with everything we needed to relax after day trips. The beds were comfortable and everything was very clean and organized. Our host was very kind and helped us with any questions. The location is a beautiful base to explore Kandersteg, Frutigen, around Interlaken and our favorite was the Lauterbrunnen valley (1hr away). I would highly recommend this place to stay!

Stunning mountain views
Our stay at Haus Schranz was wonderful. The apartment was just as shown in the pictures and was perfect for our family. We cooked all our breakfasts and several dinners in the well-equipped kitchen. We had a total of 5 in our party - we all had comfortable beds and plenty of room to relax after our days of hiking in the surrounding mountains. We loved our whole stay, we would gladly stay again and we would highly recommend Haus Schranz to other visitors.

Authentic Switzerland Home
My parents and I absolutely LOVED our stay at this home. It's right on the side of the mountain - a little scary driving up the driveway actually - but it had wonderful mountain views and a cool (one lane) road going straight up the mountain that we explored. Also, the hosts were amazing. They live right downstairs and are willing to answer any questions you have or assist with whatever you need. They provided us a baby bed for my daughter and gave us lots of local suggestions. We had a wonderful trip and I think it's because we stayed right with the locals and had an authentic experience. I'd definitely recommend this place. It was very spacious, has everything you will need and offered a lot of sleeping options. We'd love to stay here again in the future!!

Magnifique appartement
Que dire! Tout était top! L’appartement est très joli et très propre avec une décoration typique et soignée. L’appartement bénéficie également d’une vue sur la montagne et un accès à une terrasse, manger avec vue sur la montagne dans le calme, quel bonheur! Quant à l’accueil de l’hôte! Heidi est une personne très sympathique et avenante. Même si mon allemand n’est plus ce qu’il était, elle a tout fait pour que l’on se comprenne. Merci beaucoup pour tout! Nous reviendrons!

Un séjour très agréable; nous reviendrons!
Heidi est une hôte très sympathique qui nous a bien accueillie et renseignée sur la région! Le logement est très bien situé, au calme avec vue sur les montagnes. Il est spacieux avec ses 3 chambres, une grande cuisine et un grand séjour, et extrêmement bien équipé, rien ne manque, tout est bien pensé. Il est aussi très propre et chaleureux. Vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés!

Easter Weekend in Kandertal
We spent a long weekend at Heidi's house. We were 2 families with small children (2, 5,6). The apartment is spacious with many rooms with a nice view of the valley. The kitchen was well equipped, we had every thing we needed for cooking (oven, microwave, coffee machine). We loved the fact that there was real baby bed for our 2 years old. The bathroom is quite large and has only a shower. We came with 2 cars, and could park it in front of the entrance. The road up to the house seemed a bit steep (the house is on a slope) at the beginning but the next day we got used to it. Heidi has been always very nice to us and it was very easy to communicate with her, she answered all our emails within 1-2 hours. We did small tours in the region, we went to see the Blausee, Spiez and Beatenberg.
