This is a weird property - the photos make it look like it’s some hip motel but it’s actually three buildings separate from the lobby. It was clean enough and the staff was nice but the bones of the property were weird. The room was nice enough but the whole vibe was $49.99 a night creepy. There were also boarded up buildings on the property.

This was over all a good hotel experience. Polite staff, clean facilities, etc. My only complaint was that there was no hot water and we didn't know it until we were showering right before we checked out. It sucked taking cold prison showers first thing in the morning.

Strange place
There were a number of little things that contributed to the particular rating that I gave. The first of which is the lock on the door doesn't work. The door latch is just f***** up enough that we couldn't slide the latch in correctly. There is no functional fan in the bathroom. So humidity piles up. Cold water only gets as cold as lukewarm. A number of the drawers on the entertainment center do not stay closed. There was only one trash can. The staff however, was absolutely fantastic for the most part. And made up for a lot of the hotel shortcomings. The elevator has not yet been built or is not yet certified. I don't know which. The Continental breakfast is lacking. It's basically biscuits.

I have stayed at this property for 2 days. The property was clean, and staff was very helpful. I felt the deposit was on a higher side ($150), which was more than the room tariff, but it was reversed within a day's time of checking out. Overall pleasant experience and will consider booking this hotel again, if I have to visit Kansas City the next time.

Nice staff, but they are trying to cut too many corners. There was no signage identifying the motel. No coffee maker, cups, glasses or ice bucket in the room. Pillows were awful, as was the water pressure. Free breakfast consisted of weak coffee, dry cereal, bread for toasting along with cellophane wrapped mini Hostess donuts.

Don't let the exterior keep you from booking!!
Despite the look of the exterior, this is really a nice hotel. I believe that the exterior is going to be updated soo, as the rest of the hotel has been. At this point, I don't recall even seeing a sign with the hotels name on it anywhere on the grounds!! But don't let this keep you from staying here. The room itself was extremely nice, and very large. It's a diamond in the rough right now, but definitely worth the stay!

First off, I get there and no one is at front desk. I eventually had to call the property. First no answer. Answered 2nd call. I waited approximately 10 minutes. Then he tells me it’s a $150 deposit on a room I paid $100 for. Then he tells me that they won’t release the $150 for 3-7 days. After trying to cancel my reservation, and stating how I felt about the situation, he finally agreed to not charge me. I’m a 50 yr old woman traveling alone. All I needed was a place to sleep. How much damage can I do to a hotel room?
