Ocean View & Sound of the Waves Against the Shoreline are Spectacular!
The view of the ocean from the veranda and the sound of the waves against the shoreline were one of many magnificent highlights of our stay in Kauai at the Islander on the Beach. The east shore locale, was a perfect midway point to visiting both the north and south shore. Also, just steps to the Coconut Marketplace, it was convenient for shopping and food. Island Market was our favorite for food, drinks and gifts. We celebrated our 25th Anniversary, Aloha Style.

This property was very nice, close to restaurants and shopping. If you don't do stairs, this is on the 2nd story and no elevator. The view and sound of the ocean with the balcony was awesome.

We love the convenient location of Islander on the Beach, and the view from 252 was exquisite. We looked straight out at the ocean from the comfy chairs on the lanai, and fell asleep to the sound of the waves. The room was well equipped with beach chairs and appliances, and the property manager was very helpful. It was a perfect getaway.

We loved that the unit was oceanfront and we could watch the sunrise every morning. Wish there was a small dishwasher though so we didn’t have to do everything by hand. But the room was well kept and nicely decorated and very comfortable. Thanks for the chocolates!

A good place to stay in Kauai
Overall we were really happy with everything. The unit was clean, king size bed was comfy, a/c worked well and was quiet. Kitchen had what we needed and appreciated a water filter jug. Found the management company quickly responsive and the microwave and safe needed attention / replacing and they were on it quickly, new microwave installed the next day. There were sufficient clean towels for both the bathroom and beach. A larger fridge was welcome as we loved getting ready made foods or take outs so could enjoy the balcony with a great view overlooking the ocean for a number of breakfasts and dinners. It was easy to get good food from the ABC store and the BBQ chicken place at the Coconut Market Place and the Sleeping Giant grill on the property was excellent. The location was perfect for us, close enough but also far away enough to the airport and all day trips. I am very pleased we chose this place for our 7 day stay. One of us found the tub slippery (did slip twice but manage to avert any bad injury) and suggest using bath mats which the management indicated would provide for future guests.

Great location, beautiful view. We weren’t aware that VRBO guests are not allowed to use the laundry room which made things a little complicated. The floors were not cleaned or were not vacuumed before mopping as it had long hair strands all over. It definitely could use a better housekeeper or more time for cleaning. The room itself was great, bed was comfortable and you can’t beat it’s location. Overall had a good time and would probably return.

This was a nice place with a good view! It was also a good location for us as we went out West to Waimea Canyon & were able to visit some beaches out West & up North as well. It's worth knowing that there isn't a stovetop in the room, but there are some grills down by the pool & a microwave in the room for cooking. Overall, this was a good place to stay for exploring Kauai!

Great place to stay on the East Coast!!
If you've decided to stay in the East Coast area of Kauai, this is a fantastic place to stay! This is at the Aston Islander on the Beach property. This unit has an amazing, full ocean view from the room, and you literally go out your door, walk across the beach walk and you are on the beach. And not just any beach, but a beautiful, sandy, yet relatively quiet beach. There are trees along the beach walk that provide plenty of shade, so we spent a few afternoons relaxing in the shade and enjoying the beach. This unit may be a bit more expensive than others that you can find at this development, but they likely won't have the view or proximity to the beach that this unit does. We were also impressed with the unit itself. It has been recently redecorated and looks great! There is a lot packed into the room, including a very comfortable king bed and a nice sitting area. Everything was very clean and well maintained, and we appreciated having a larger-sized refrigerator. What we really liked was the newer mini-split air conditioner in the living room - it was very, very quiet and extremely effective, which made it easy to sleep at night. We enjoyed our stay here and would certainly recommend it to others!

Fall asleep to the sounds of the ocean!
Our experience here was wonderful! Waking up to the sunrise over the ocean never got old and we slept every night with the door open to hear the waves all night. The location on the east side of the island made it perfect for us to hop around easily to different parts of the island. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed. We didn’t use the pool but spent one night hanging out in the hot tub and it was great. Definitely would recommend the property in the future

What a great find! Right on the beach, condo complex with a combination of private owned properties and they have a tiki bar that runs happy hour 3-6 and stays open till 9pm. Lots of great walkable restaurants and the market at Coconut Place right next door is the best ABC store on the island.. Condo had everything needed for two people. Loved having beach chairs and a cooler included for use! Would recommend.
