I always like going to cheap B&B’s, that not many people are aware of, or want to avoid and while I am aware that Keswick is a place that attracts many mountain climbers, tourists and walkers, having stayed here back end of July, I can see why other hotels looked more appealing and had more guests.
Don’t get me wrong, First impressions were fabulous not to mention the place was immaculately clean however, the entire interior was extremely old-fashioned. breakfast too, was not 21st century standards, only served for half hour period from 8:30 in the morning to 9 o’clock. (other guest accommodations surrounding
(other traders, served two boats throughout the morning for two, separate hours)
I wish I could say that was the end of it, but unfortunately, I can’t as breakfast to me, was a bit too cold for my liking ; Yes, not everybody likes negative criticism, as the saying goes ‘ bad feedback can go a long way toward improvement’ except when confronted the host was incredibly rude and couldn’t wait to get rid of me.
having toured United kingdom (specifically Scotland and England) on 10 separate occasions, since 2018 i suppose you could called me an experienced traveller, even despite being autisticlly neurodivergent, being rudely told otherwise, feels like an insult.
Being part of Gen Z as well, made me feel very uncomfortable with how badly dated it was, more tired than Doctor Who’s TARDIS, itself continuing to be updated every now and then.
Move on from this place quickly
