The food was amazing. I had the curry goat for dinner one time and it was very good. I love the property, its a city hotel but not too much foot traffic. I stay there whenever I'm in Kingston.

I have stayed at this hotel multiple times and every time I stay there they do not give me the VIP room upgrade. They say itā€™s not available. However, this time I went online and saw that there was rooms available to book that were upgrades and when I asked why I was not able to get an upgrade I was told that They just couldnā€™t. I showed the young lady online where it said the upgraded rooms were available to book. They never honor VIP status. This was the first time they gave me a bottle of wine. The last time I was there I did not even receive that. I am a frequent traveler and I am entitled to my VIP upgrades and I actually spoke to a manager he said it is upon availability however it was available and I still did not get it.

With our third stay at the Spanish Court comes a thorough review, chronicling the considerable changes that have transpired since its rebranding, regrettably, with more negative than positive outcomes. I arrived to the hotel and walked inside to the front desk to check in passing the Bell hop and three ladies standing at the front and not one of them acknowledged me nor said hello until I spoke first. Once I was checked in for my two weeks stay I asked the Bell hop if they could help with the bags and after 45 minutes of waiting since they only have one cart we carried our bags up ourselves. The air conditioning is turned off in the room when you arrive so it is very hot and muggy for the first hour. Now, the room was very clean and their housekeeping does an Immaculate job. In the morning there is traditional Jamaican breakfast and it used to be absolutely delicious because it was authentic but unfortunately, now it is very bland and it lacks a lot of the flavor that comes from the traditional Jamaican dishes and this includes the stew chicken, callaloo, the porridge's, the ackee and saltfish. So it was definitely a disappointment from the previous days that I had previously commended so much on the breakfast before. As a few mornings we walked down to Juicy patties just to have authentic breakfast. I know the owner has boasted about wanting to be similar to the Hilton but unfortunately this hotel has really lost its significance after the rebranding
