S.S.P. Was the property they put me in.
So after I arrived they put me in a completely different hotel than the pictures. It was maybe a 2 star room. They had no availability at the beach front rooms of the actual hotel. I checked in and immediately left

We was put into the rooms next door as they said that the resort we booked was fully booked. They gave us our breakfast vouchers the day we left. I would like to say organised chaos. But there was no organisation. Better off oaying a little bit more and getting better service.

Nice and quiet place on the cliffs
The Cliff resort is a nice quiet place on the cliffs, with little bungalows. The rooms are fine, and the service too. Breakfast is fine too. A restaurant however is not present in the hotel. You must go to the main street to get food. They say white sand beach is a 5 minute walk, but this is not the case. Count on a 20 minute walk to get to the beach. This is not too bad though, in my opinion.

NOT AS advertised
This ā€œresortā€ was advertised has having 2 restaurants, a bar, room service, etc... all things that a resort much less a standard hotel would have. In reality none of the phones worked, the bar looked abandoned for years, and they donā€™t serve food after breakfast in the ā€œrestaurantā€ with a view. They have peacocks roaming the grounds and they scream all night long so donā€™t expect good sleep. They also poop everywhere so there are more flying insects at this place than any other place Iā€™ve ever stayed. The food was Horrible and even the coffee was all instant and terrible. The manager carries a bug zapping tennis racket at all times because the mosquitoes are aggressive and never ending. Every time your phone or computer goes to sleep you have to re-log into the internet which is very annoying and there is trash in the bushes that employees failed to pick up for the duration of our stay. We checked out a day early after being sick for the first 48 hours and they were kind enough to give us a refund although the male manager was very pissed at our request to receive the refund. You will find bugs in your room at some point and insect repellent is a must. Itā€™s quite a hike down to the street and then down to white sands beach which was the poorest beach weā€™ve seen in Thailand, open sewage appeared to be running out from many pipes. But hey cliff Chang has a great view!!!

I stayed on Koh Chang for 6 days, 3 days were at Chang Cliff. What you have to understand is on Koh Chang you are paying for a view, not a room. The rooms could be better. Compared to the other resort which I found very bad for the price I paid for it Chang Cliff was very good value for the money. I stayed in two different rooms both with fantastic views. The pool maybe a little small but what a view. The resort is close to the main rood and an easy walk to the action. The beach is not that far and they had a shuttle. There were not many people when I was there but breakfast was custom made. Western for me and Thai for my travel companion. It was good. They have a wide variety of rooms here. From hostel to what could be considered 4 star. Staff were very nice and I would not have a problem staying here again.

Great place
Nice place, comfortable bed, friendly staff. Lots of peacocks that walk around the resort which was interesting. Has a very nice lookout area with stairs heading down near the ocean.

Plesant stay, we stayed there for four days, the rooms looked slightly better on the websites but were fine,price was ok ish) i.e. ive had worse and had better. The staff kept themseves to themselves but were plesant overall ,if i went to koh chang again i'd probably stay there again but would say its best if you has a bike or a car as its about a mile to the main beach.

Lovely place to stunning views
Very nice place to stay , lovey gardens stuning sea views from front line rooms , second row not bad , back view of gardens , breakfast just ok not much choice , staff ok but hard work ,lovely walk round the cliffs down to sea . No pool or beach , ten minute walk to beach , would stay there again

Seen Better Days!
This hotel is situated on the side of a cliff overlooking the sea. Grounds are very pretty and the view is great (if you've selected a sea view unit). Housekeeping is very much lacking in quality and consistency; non-smoking rooms contained ashtrays! Hot water in show was almost non-existent and no hot water at the vanity sink with which to shave. The included breakfast although plentiful was cold (warming trays a misnomer!) and coffee was instant! There are better properties to be had.

Do not stay here!
Me and my girlfriend are 30 years old, we have travelled to many countries in our life and I have never left a review before let alone a bad one!! This hotel is cheap for a reason!! The receptionist was rude and did not care about ANYTHING! Everything we asked him, he would say he didn't know and he wouldn't even try to help us or find out for us. The ROOMS are disgusting, they have bed bug poo/blood all over the bed sheets(I googled it after seeing to many stains on the sheets) and after scratching ourself to death! I am so upset a we bought the bedbugs back to our home in England and it cost us Ā£400 and 3 visits from rentokill to get rid of them!!!Give me Mosquitos any day! As for the restaurant, the food was actually nice, but the service was poor, we waited a hour and 15 mins for our food and any Thai or Asian person who came in after us got there food before us, I had to say to the waiter where is our food an threaten to leave before they bought it to us!! There are so many other cheaper, nicer hotels in ko Chang!! Do not waste your time or money staying here, whatever you do! Just think about sleeping with bed bugs!

If you want relaxation it's good not else. Was there in early April, restaurant closed, bar closed almost seemed abandoned. No pool, long walk to the beach and longer (uphill) back. Does have sunbeds overlooking the ocean in the shadow of trees, so if your not out for a tan it's nice. Didn't try the breakfast. Internet/WiFi only exists at the outdoor (hot and humid) reception area, not in the rooms wich the homepage states, otherwise works fine.
