We had a wonderful stay at Hideaway. Relived the memories of my childhood walking down the white sandy beach with mum. Kids and I spent mesmerising snorkelling hours at sea. Was sad to see coral bleaching due to warm water temperatures but this location still has beautiful ocean life. Was a beautiful experience for my daughter’s first snorkelling. Swimming pool was clean and enjoyable with perfect water temperature. Relaxing villas with clean room and linen. Staff were welcoming and friendly and made our stay extra special. The hotel is getting old and needs some love and care. However, it was clean and was good to see some renovations under way. Hoping renovations will give it a beautiful face lift to this amazing stay. Worth money spent and will definitely revisit in future. Vinaka vakalevu team Hideaway.

We where there for 7 ngts & found the staff were very helpful they made us feel like family & housekeeping do a great job our room was spotless. Coffee is good but the continental breakfast is repetitive. Our room 309 was in need of maintenance:- Blinds & Shutters broken, Bathroom door hard to close, sml Bar Fridge needs putting on the bench off the floor Basin Plugs needed & a line in outdoor shower for washing , timber floor in outside shower needs fixing. This is an issue the owners need to attend to. Magnificent spot right on the beach great snorkeling.

The view from the room was great everything else was terrible. Live cockroaches in the room mould on the ceiling bed was very hard, taps at the vanity weren’t fixed properly, blinds in the window falling out, the waterfront shower sprayed everywhere except on you,

The staff here are outstanding, they were so lovely, always cemented your name and nothing was too much. The rooms were lovely but some minor paint and fixes could help. Restaurant was great, good range and prices. Grounds were lovely and overall very satisfied with our stay

Family holiday with grandchildren in an adjoining beachfront villa. Loved our spacious and quiet villa and the water views. The staff were warm and welcoming. Reef shoes a must for when the tide goes out. The children’s activities were very light on and I think older children would be looking for more. Lovely pool area and trivia during happy hour was fun. Resort needs to emphasis the dangerous swimming are at the reef opening. Lacking in emergency equipment and training. Did the school tour and village tour. Affordable at $10 each and we were happy to leave a donation at the school and village.

Bula! Thank you to everyone at the Fiji hideaway resort and spa. This was the first time my family and I had visited and we had an absolutely delightful time. The staff were fantastic. Everyone was so friendly and consistently smiling and willing to help out. The food, especially the tandoori chicken, was such a highlight. In terms of the room, the room was lovely. We had the family room which managed to sleep my mom, dad, my 9 year old niece and myself. The only room for improvement was the bathroom. Nothing major but just in need of a little TLC. I would hugely suggest taking the local bus right outside the resort to the capital city of Suva. It costs only FD $10 per person. Already have a heavy heart typing this on our plane trip back to Auckland. Thoroughly enjoyed Fiji’s south west and south east coast. Highly recommended. Vinaka.

The staff were incredible. If there had been a beach with swimming areas I would give this a 5 star. When the tide is out there is hardly any water. When the tide is in the water is very shallow.

I was very unimpressed with my stay at the hideaway, and the place was flooded with screaming children, by day they were running around the pool and by night they were playing with the only pool table and running around the dinning room. We were so uncomfortable we asked to get room service and they tried to charge us for the delivery… The food also made us sick.

Great spot with a pool and swimmable ocean (reef shoes are best and provided). There 5 days with a family of 8 (all adults) and between day excursions and the couple restaurants and pool and other activities we kept ourselves occupied and really enjoyed the place. Accom is a bit dated but not anything I’m not used to, still clean and tidy, mostly only noted in the bathroom but not an issue, and a great outdoor private shower with open roof

The bottom of the bed and bed skirt was dirty-very obvious. Phone cord was broken didnt work, Door got locked from inside, couldnt open, had to use my data to call front desk to open our door. Food options were not so great. Staff were very friendly till we let them know the issues, then they wouldnt even make eye contact let alone say hello
