Beautiful Ryokan with amazing staff and lovely onsen choices for “unfit” tourists with tattoos, etc. We loved that it was close to the action in Arashiyama but not directly where all the tourists are. Would recommend!

I loved my stay here! I had the breakfast included which was a really nice experience :) I never had to wait for the private onsen … there was one available both times I went to use it! Very relaxing! I would have given this 5 stars but the massage I got there was probably the worst nassahr I’ve ever had.. was 13000 yen and supposed to be an 80 minute full body foot massage. She only did my back and feet and I swear she kept falling asleep during the massage. I kept trying to move to let her know I noticed her stopping. Very disappointing but everything else was great

Amazing hotel for couples and families. Located in a quiet area within a walkable distance from a bus stop and a metro station. I love the no shoes policy and the private hot springs are very nice and can easily disconnect after a long day of walking around Kyoto. Nothing to do with the hotel itself or the staff but expect some loud clients at this hotel.

Beautiful area and definitely relaxing. Very close to train station and could walk to beautiful areas-UNESCO temples, bamboo forest and so much more. The property was so comfortable and relaxing. Staff very accommodating, but would have been nice to have a service person who spoke English. None the less, the staff was so friendly and professional. The onsens were fabulous and clean. Would definitely go again!

If you’re looking for a convenient and relaxing place to stay, I recommend. The train station is literally right across the street (less than a minute walk) and you can also walk a few minutes to the bus station if you want to easily head to the Arashiyama bamboo forest. Staff were very friendly, the private onsens were great! We tried 4/5 and all were different. Public onsen was also great with a sauna and cold plunge. Rooms could be a bit cleaner, but overall a great ryokan experience! Dinner and breakfast was very traditional though so just be aware. The complimentary kimonos you can rent for free are super cute and fun!

A unique Kyoto experience in a ryokan with traditional baths. We enjoyed the hot springs experience. It was relaxing and rejuvenating. The traditional dinner and breakfast were interesting Not a fan of some of the traditional foods, but it is all part of the experience. Great place to try.
