Beautiful 17th century priory, 140 km (85 miles) south of Paris, near the historical town of Gien on the Loire river.
This 3.800 sq ft country house comfortably sleeps 17. Its 28.000 sq ft enclosed garden parts wall with the grounds of a magnificent castle and its ancient kitchen garden (visitable from spring to autumn). Pond at 500m (300 yards).

Beautifully furnished and fully equipped.
Ground floor : Bright cathedral-like living room with chimney, spacious dining room, very well equipped kitchen, TV lounge, plus Wifi Internet, with double sofa bed (160 cm - 63 inches), contigpuous to a shower room with toilet (equipped for elderly or handicapped persons).
2 upper levels : 1 large bedroom with double bed (160 cm - 63 inches) plus child bed and craddle, 3 bedrooms with double bed (160 cm - 63 inches), 1 large dorm-playroom with 2 bunk beds and 1 single bed, 1 room with 2 single beds, 1 bathroom with toilet, 1 shower room with toilet.
Sleeps 17 plus 2 babies. 3 mattresses can be added, bringing the total capacity to 20 person and 2 babies.
Outdoor dining (2 tables for 20 person) BBQ, volleyball. Ping Pong, game of bowls.

Huge house abounding in character
This is an intriguing house full of character, unexpected corners and evidence of a long past family history. There are lots of pictures, books and masses of equipment of every sort (some quite old). There is lots of space, some impressive downstairs rooms and attractive bedrooms, with comfortable beds. It is still a work in progress, (a beautiful new fridge arrived while we were there) and there are parts of the house less fully renovated than others, but this did not detract from our enjoyment of the house. The garden is immense with lots of space for games and for children to run around in and explore. There was an exciting array of toys, dressing up clothes and games. Even though some of the children's toys and sports equipment was rather worn, the children with us enjoyed a lot of the games we discovered. The village is nice, quiet but with good facilities, for example a wonderful tennis court, and an impressive castle. There were a lot of pleasant places to be explored nearby. The owners were very responsive and helpful. It was a happy and memorable stay!

Weekend en famille
Maison familiale agréable, grandes chambres. Dommage que le temps n'était pas avec nous nous n'avons pas pu profiter du grand jardin. La maison aurait besoin d'un rafraîchissement au niveau décoration (double rideau, rideau de douche, couvre lit ...) Il nous manquait quand même un ou 2 degrés de chauffage pour être au top.

Grande maison »dans son jus » où l’entretien general laisse plus qu’à désirer ! Ménage succint, jardin mal entretenu, maison pas à la hauteur de ce que nous avions loué ! Les photos qui ont 15 ans devraient être actualisées , cela éviterait des déceptions !

Grande maison de campagne avec de la place pour 20 personnes. Elle est bien située et est au calme. Elle a beaucoup de charme et c’est agréable d’y séjourner. On s’y sent très vite comme chez soi. La cuisine est super bien équipée. Les literies sont aussi vraiment agréable nous avons bien dormi. Juste quelques petit point de détail à revoir: - les choses cassées ou qui nécessitent juste des petites réparations. - Les taupes dans le jardin, qui ont fait des trous partout, j’ai eu peur de sortir mon petit chat. - Et l’arrivée d’eau chaude dans les étages qui semble avoir un souci. Après 4-5 douches, il n’y avait plus d’eau chaude on devait descendre au rez-de-chaussée. Hormis cela, la maison est charmante, grande, agréable. On peut la réchauffer au feu de cheminée aussi. Les propriétaires sont avenants et compréhensifs. Merci pour ce séjour dans votre maison.

Maison spacieuse jardin et parc plutôt bien même si les extérieurs mériteraient un petit rafraîchissement. Les couvertures et couettes méritent elles aussi un petit rafraîchissement. Mais nous avons cependant passé un très agréable week-end.

Un manque d'entretien regrettable
C'est vraiment dommage car le lieu pourrait être très agréable mais il manque cruellement d'entretien. A l'évidence les photos datent d'au moins 10 ans et bien peu de choses ont été faites depuis, pire le mobilier ou le matériel usager n'ont jamais été renouvelés. Ce qui nous a le plus choqués, c'est l'état du jardin dans lequel la tondeuse n'avait été passée qu'au centre laissant des mauvaises herbes et chardons parfois de plus d'un mètre de hauteur tout autour et contre la maison sur les 2 façades et de plus infesté de tiques. Une des participantes est sous antibiotiques pour 15 jours.

Excellent séjour à La Bussière
Nous étions 15 à loger sur place et parfois 19 à table, et nous nous sommes tous sentis très bien dans la grande et belle maison de La Bussière, avec son grand jardin, ses espaces de vie vastes et chaleureux où partager des moments tous ensemble, des chambres accueillantes où s'isoler, dont une au rez de chaussée, accessible pour une personne à mobilité réduite. Nous avons apprécié le tact et la disponibilité des propriétaires et de la personne qui nous a accueillis sur place et que nous remercions encore. Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir à La Bussière.

un week end agréable !
J'ai loué cette spacieuse maison pour mes 40 ans fin janvier. Très agréable pour une quinzaine de personnes, très grande table pour manger tous ensemble, beau salon pour faire la fête ou pour profiter de la cheminée. Les chambres sont agréables, propres et l'ensemble bien chauffé. Nous avons apprécié: la souplesse d horaire d'arrivée et de départ, l'équipement du gite et le charme du prieuré. A refaire !

Week-end très agreable
J’avais loué la maison pour un week-end, nous étions 20 personnes. La maison est très jolie, même plus que sur les photos. Le chauffage avait été allumé avant notre arrivée et il y faisait très bon. Le seul bémol était le fait que les matelas supplémentaires étaient payant pour avoir 20 couchages (alors que la maison est annoncée pour 20). Malgré tout je recommande cette location, le jardin est également très agréable. Merci!

Bon séjour en famille dans une maison chaleureuse !
Belle propriété, spacieuse ce qui n’est pas négligeable quand le temps laisse à désirer... Quelques réparations à faire ou choses à changer, mais sinon, la maison est accueillante et chaleureuse. Nous y avons passé un très bon week-end en famille!

Superbe maison, très agréable et confortable. Nous étions ravies. Petits problèmes de chauffage mais le propriétaire a fait tout ce qu'il a pu afin d'y palier. Il manque 2/3 choses, comme des poubelles pour le tri, du ^petit bois pour la cheminée et des couteaux de cuisine. Je recommande vivement cette location.

Fantastisch huis met zeer matige inhoud...
Dit huis is geweldig charmant en heeft een grote ruime tuin. We hebben een hele leuke week gehad, maar er waren wel echt wat mindere punten wat de accommodatie betreft. Wij waren erg verbaasd over het comfort en de staat van de meubels en tuin. Hele vieze oude banken, speelgoed etc., een uitklapbed dat half was doorgezakt, zeer zeer veel stof overal (een aantal heeft anti allergie middelen moeten gebruiken) en ongedierte. Wat jammer van zo'n prachtig huis! De tuin stond er zielig bij, met tuinmeubilair dat niet comfortabel zit; we hebben onze eigen stoelen maar gebruikt. Bij aankomst bleef een koelkast piepen (deed het later wel) en waren de douches verstopt. Wij waren in een zeer warme periode, het huis rook heel erg muf. Het is de eerste keer dat ik een negatieve recensie moet schrijven over een accommodatie, terwijl wij al jaren via HomeAway huizen huren. Ik hoop dat de eigenaars deze feedback ter harte kunnen nemen, want met een beetje moeite is dit een fantastische accommodatie!
