Restful and Relaxing
We booked this in a hurry and at the last minute. We lost power during Hurricane Beryl. We highly recommend this location. We were welcomed by Denver the ranch dog, ready for pets. The back porch is lovely, looks over a pond with pretty trees, nice place for morning coffee or an evening beer. We will be back the next time we need to run away.

Great place in a quiet area. Perfect for a little getaway. Kids had a blast catching/releasing the blue gill (some of the biggest I have seen) in the pond. Owner ensured everything was great and even sent over propane at almost 9 at night when we ran out. Would absolutely stay again.

Peaceful Cabin
We really enjoyed our stay at this Rustic Retreat. We were 4 retirees attending the Antique Weekend. Only a 10 minute drive to Warrenton. The cabin was clean and comfortable. Should be at least one person who can manage the upper bunk. The grounds were pastoral and the back porch looked out over a full pond. That was a good place to relax in the morning or evening!

Family Trip for Roundtop
We so enjoyed our stay at this beautiful cabin. As soon as we got out of our cars we were greeting by the farm dog "Denver" he was the sweetest addition to our stay and got along great with our own dogs. The house is beautiful, clean, decorated lovely and had everything you would need to be able to cook any meal in the kitchen. We spent most of our time on the back porch just enjoying the sounds of nature. Cows, chickens and goats are all nearby and for my family of animal lovers it was so much fun to get to hang out and watch these animals in their environment. The house is a quick drive to Roundtop and made it easy for us to antique during the day and enjoy the country living in the evening. If you choose to book at this location you will not be disappointed, it will just be hard to leave Denver behind because he will have stolen your heart. The owner of property was very responsive if we needed anything, will definitely book again.

Hey Silviano, give it a 4.0 out of 5. Nice, neat, and clean. Peaceful place, definitely out of the main stream. Beautiful location with all the trees and pond. Biggest complaints would be first the leather couch (old, uncomfortable and smells); time to replace it. Outside things so tidy, but not real inviting to use. Boat without oars, barbecue with chunks of wood not convenient. Bean bag toss so neatly stored on deck again not real inviting to use.

Just what we needed.
Once we pulled into the property, we felt home and fully relaxed. We left Galveston to get away from the Memorial Day craziness and this is what we needed. Peaceful, birds, cows and fresh air! We will rent this cabin again!!

Great weekend retreat
This property was exactly what I was expecting. Rustic and cozy. We took a 4 day trip with friends. Perfect size for 4 adults. The back porch had plenty of chairs and overlooked the pond. Plenty of hot water for showers. Beds were comfy. The time we were there La Grange was getting a lot of rain. The cabin has a tin room which was a huge plus. No sound machines needed. Great location to several wineries and town. Definitely would stay there again.

Get away for a few days during spring break.
My family and I had a great time. We loved the property and its location. Had a great time just taking in the scenery, along with the peace of being in the country. One of the things we wanted to do was visit the Blue Bell creamery, and Lagrange offered a wonderful place that was close to drive and still not have o stay in a city. We especially loved the Folly farm that offered great food , beer, and wine for adults, and playing area for kids. Our daughter made friends for the day and we all enjoyed it. The Rustic retreat though was especially awesome, we spent good part of our time just relaxing and spending time together. We definitely plan to return. Thanks again. John, Mary, and Claire.

Amazing Cabin!
Our stay was wonderful! Place was very clean ! Beds were so comfortable and we had all we needed for our stay! We enjoyed the Expresso coffee .. a real treat! Our host was very attentive to our needs! While there we visited antique shops in Round Top and La Grange. I highly recommend this place! We hope to be back for another stay in the future!

Slice of Heaven!
We rented Rustic Retreat when we visited for my niece's wedding. My family lives a few minutes away, the wedding was at Luther Hill down the road, and the reception was in Round Top. This cabin was the perfect location for us. Silviano was a wonderful host and very communicative. The cabin is clean, cozy, and tranquil. We've stayed in many rentals around the country during our travels, and this one was perfect for our needs. The cabin and property are clean and well-maintained. We enjoyed walking the property line, talking to the cows, swinging on the tire swings, and sitting on the back porch. The Live Oaks on the property are gorgeous and would be perfect for hammocks. The cabin was well-stocked. The Nespresso coffee maker, abundant coffee pods, and frother were a nice bonus. The beds are really comfortable, and the master bed is adjustable. The main bathroom is clean, adequate in size, and has plenty of nice towels. The water pressure is great. The couch is comfortable, and the games and throw blankets were nice to have. We loved opening the windows and letting the breeze blow through the cabin. So relaxing! We didn't get to use the Blackstone grill or smoker, but those are generous and luxurious amenities to have at a rental. My only suggestions would be to add a couple of lamps in the living room for softer, additional lighting and a bedside table and lamp in the second bedroom. We would definitely rent this sweet little cabin again!

Had to call to get check in info on day of arrival. The ice maker didn’t work and water was turned off to the 2nd toilet because it ran all the time. Otherwise it was great. Very nice view and accommodations.

Perfect Cabin Retreat
Review I truly enjoyed my stay at the Rustic Retreat. The attention to detail was noticeable! Things like a completely stocked kitchen, wood for the fire ring, 5 rocking chairs, and the A/C set for my arrival demonstrate the owners’ interest in my comfort. This new gorgeous cabin in a peaceful setting is well appointed, has excellent WiFi and was perfect to complete my work uninterrupted.
