The Gîte de la Lusette is an excellent starting point for visiting the various sites of the Gorges du Tarn. Located in the village of La Malene in the heart of the Gorges, the Gîte, a multi-hundred year old house transformed into a Gite offers you the charm and comfort of authentic houses.


Character house in the most beautiful part of the village. The Gite de la Lusette can accommodate from 1 to 5 people, it is located 100 meters from the Tarn.
The Gite consists of a living room, upstairs a large vaulted master bedroom and a small room for 'pitchouns'.
Two cellars allow you to easily store bikes, fishing rods, etc ...
Due to its central location, the Gite de la Lusette allows you to easily reach the Aven Armand but also the Dargilan cave, the Vulture House or The Wolf Park of Ste Lucie. The Barques departures by the boatmen of La Malène or Canoes for the most beautiful part of the Gorges 'Les Detroits' are 100 meters from the Gîte.
In addition I have been working as a tourist boatman for 15 years (already!).
Depending on your interests, I would be happy to help you discover this wonderful natural region, if you wish.

Perfect Place in La Malene
The house was perfect for us, it was superbly clean with very comfortable beds and can easily sleep 5 people. It has a very well equipped kitchen and a lot of character. It is situated right next to all the restaurants, shops and the beautiful river with all its attractions and activities is just a stonethrow away. Eric, the owner, looked after us very well. We absolutely loved every minute in La Malene and would love to come again.

Lovely holiday in an amazing place
A lovely house to stay in. Beautifully cool in the very hot weather we had the week we stayed. Eric the owner was very kind and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed a trip down the river as recommended. Definitely go for the first trip of the day if you can - so peaceful. One thing that would have been very useful would be a file of useful information eg nearest petrol station/ supermarket; the property wifi code; contact number for Eric. Maybe to include a visitors book, with recommendations for restaurants and things to do (or not do!). We would recommend this area and the property.

Wunderbarer Aufenthalt am Tarn in schöner, zentral gelegener Wohnung
Wir haben uns sehr erholt und den Aufenthalt in der Tarnschlucht sehr genossen. Die Wohnung liegt zentral, aber ruhig und ist sehr gut ausgestattet.

Tolles Haus in einmaliger Lage
Das Haus ist das älteste im Ort und befindet sich im alten Ortskern von La Malène. Dies bedeutet, dass immer wieder Touristen vorbei kommen, während man auf der Terrasse sitzt. Uns hat das aber nicht gestört. Das Haus ist in einem gut renovierten Zustand, die Ausstattung ist gut und es fehlt an nichts. In nächster Umgebung finden sich ein Bäcker (bei dem man auch einen Grundstock an Lebensmitteln kaufen kann), ein Metzger und mehrere Restaurants. Zum nächsten Supermarkt ist man allerdings 30 Minuten unterwegs. Dafür ist die Landschaft so unfassbar schön, dass es eine Freude ist, sich dort auszuhalten. Der Check-in ist unkompliziert verlaufen, im Haus wartete schon ein Willkommensgruß auf uns. Auch während des Aufenthalts ist Eric jederzeit ansprechbar und gerne hilfreich zur Stelle. Wir möchten uns an dieser Stelle noch einmal für einen unvergesslichen Aufenthalt bedanken!

Schönes Haus in traumhafter Lage
Schönes altes Steinhaus mit sonniger Terrasse und herrlichem Blick. Es gibt einen kleines Lebensmittelgeschäft um die Ecke und einige Restaurants im Ort. Man kann wandern, Rad oder Kayak fahren, baden. Sehr guter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge in die Schlucht oder auf die Hochebenen.

Fijn huis, vooral omdat wij maar met 2 waren. Faciliteiten, badkamer en buitenruimte zijn niet zo geschikt voor grotere gezelschappen. Prachtig uitzicht vanaf de zonnige terrassen.

Sehr stilvoll renoviertes altes Haus, sehr geschmackvoll und gleichzeitig zeitgemäss eingerichtet. Wundervoll im Dorfkern eingebettet. Bäckerei und Metzgerei 2 Minuten zu Fuss entfernt.Herrliche Gegend für Ausflüge, Kanufahrten und eine Bootsfahrt mit den Bateliers de La Malene.

Séjour à La Malène
Superbe région avec de très beaux paysages et donc de très belles balades en perspectives, il y en a pour tous les niveaux. Merci à Eric le propriétaire du gîte pour son accueil chaleureux et sa disponibilité. Super gîte, bien équipé et bien situé avec tous les commerces à proximité, et bien sûr le bar à snacks est à recommander, gérants très sympathiques. Le beau temps n'était pas au RDV, mais nous en garderons de très beaux souvenirs, de part la beauté de cette petite cité au coeur des gorges du Tarn mais surtout pour la convivialité des personnes locales.

Très bon accueil de notre hôte Éric. Si vous aimez le charme des maisons tout en pierre au cœur d'un joli village des gorges du Tarn venez à La Lusette et profitez des beaux paysages alentour. Depuis la maison, vous pourrez profiter de la vue sur les falaises sur l'église romane et observer les vautours. A noter quelques commerces de proximité notamment la boulangerie épicerie très appréciable Et n'oubliez pas de descendre le Tarn avec les bateliers

wunderschönes und gemütliches altes Steinhaus im Herzen von La Malène
Das Ferienhaus liegt im mittelalterlichen Ortskern, es fahren hier keine Autos und man fühlt sich in eine andere Zeit versetzt. Von der Terrasse hat man einen wunderschönen Blick auf den Ort und die umliegenden Berge, immer wieder sieht man dort Geier kreisen. Das Haus ist gemütlich eingerichtet, sauber und hat eine gute Ausstattung. Eric ist ein sehr freundlicher und zuvorkommender Gastgeber und hat uns sehr nett empfangen. Es gibt zahlreiche Wandermöglichkeiten vor Ort und in der Umgebung, Wanderführer (auch auf deutsch) sind im Haus vorhanden. Bademöglichkeiten am Tarn sind fußläufig gut zu erreichen. Ein kleines Lebensmittelgeschäft mit guter Bäckerei befindet sich um die Ecke. Wir haben hier einen wunderschönen Urlaub verbracht und uns rundum wohlgefühlt.

Que du bonheur !
Excellent accueil, propriétaire très à l'écoute et de bon conseil. La position du gîte est idéale, proche d'une boulangerie et des commerces de "bouche". Nous avons profité des activités sans trop utiliser la voiture, de vrais vacances au cœur d'une splendide région.

Une maison magnifique dans un cadre magnifique...
C'est vrai que le titre tue le suspens, il est difficile après ça de dire quoi que ce soit de négatif sur cette location... Et bien tant pis tant mieux, c'était génial, cette très jolie maison est idéalement placée dans un charmant village, très proche des départs de rando ou de canoës. Elle est très bien équipée, nous n'avons manqué de rien et je suis sûr que si ça avait le cas, le propriétaire se serait fendu en quatre pour nous satisfaire. Non vraiment, nous avons passé une super semaine de vacances et les Gorges du Tarn, mais que c'est beau !!! Alors allez-y mais surtout pas les yeux fermés, il ne faut rien manquer 😁.
