We enjoyed our stay. The room conditions were not great, but we have visited worst places. The staff were excellent, everyone is very helpful and friendly. Unfortunately the ocean water was VERY unclear. We did not receive nothing VIP related no credit for our room and no discounts.

Both rooms we booked smell very moldy, really unpleasant, air conditioning was old and noisy and smelly, need to wait a long time for hot bath water to come out, on Christmas day there was also a resort wise toilet water issue that run about 2 hours, no toilet flushing during these time in any of the toilets we tried including the guest rooms and lobby toilets. The TV signal was weak and screen freeze very often. The lady at guest service on Dec 22 at 2pm was unpleasant, bossy, over correcting me multiple times for small things like I said there is no availability for one restaurant while she said it is just the time is not best for us, i meant to say there is not suitable time for us but she does not have to seriously corrects me almost like lecturing me. Kids club hours are awkward, it opens maximum 3 hours continuously, in the afternoon it only opens 3-5.

This was fairly good for an all-inclusive hotel. The buffet choices were incredible - possibly the best I have ever seen, although I much prefer a la carte waiter-service restaurants. The a la carte restaurants were excellent. The hotel was quite noisy with constant music and too many children. If I had known about the adults-only Bouganville section next door, I would have booked that. My main criticism is that it was really over-priced for what we got. I think that the prices were hiked because it was Christmas.

We enjoyed the buffet, that’s about it. As for the hotel.. if you’ve never been to an all inclusive, and have no expectations, this place is OK. If you’re not there to enjoy being in the sea, you might be ok. This beach, while very calm, is the murkiest water I have seen/been in. There’s less than 1ft visibility. The sea floor about 10 yards in is muddy, yucky to the touch.. whatever you touch, or whatever touches you, you can’t see. The main pool and pool bar close at 6pm. The drinks are very limited.. the blenders seem to be more broken than working, so if you’re expecting frozen drinks, very limited. The bar tenders are fun but the quality of what you get is sub par. Rooms feel old and poorly maintained. We had an ocean front jr suite, the water pressure was low, hot water wasn’t hot enough or strong enough.. the tub was old an patchy. They think one towel per guest per day is enough and didn’t understand why I wanted more. A/C thermostat was broken, luckily was broken on overcooling.. seemed that a lot of things in this hotel are broken and that they don’t really understand what people expect when they pay top dollar for an all-inclusive vacation. I will never trust Expedia’s rating on any hotel again. I will not come back to this hotel or location.. I’ve been to a few much better properties in playa Bayahibe, and that’s where I’ll be going back to in the future.

All the staff were very friendly, always ready to help all the customers. They work very hard and always smiling. The food at the buffet I wouldn’t recommend. Not tasty and after the first hour of serving the buffet the food was cold and some of the trays were empty. So you have to go there first . My favorite restaurant was La gourmet. Ramon helped us with a table and the service was great. Jhongelin , the server from El pescador was amazing.

The staff was very friendly and we had a good time so i hate having to rate this property only 3 stars. But the rooms are just in a bad state. Generally kind of run down. Hard to get hot water. Toilet issues. Electricity needed repair. The common areas of the hotel are in much better shapre than the rooms. The rooms must get an update asap. The pool was nice. The food was below average but a lot of choices.

We have stayed at many resorts, but so far the staff working is the best ! Entertainment people, you guys rock ! You have so much energy and positive vibe, you work so hard . Our boys loved all activities and the love you showed to them . Food was great ! Beach was so beautiful and so clean ! Pools so clean ! Room was clean . The property is so beautiful kept. Activities are great and if you want to stay busy and entertain you definitely can ! Alexia ( one of the assistant manager) was making rounds and making sure we were doing well. She is doing an amazing job ! There will be so many names we would like to mention, every single person working at Bahia is amazing !!! Thank you for making our stay memorable! The only true negative I can say about this resort is that the ocean water is very dirty due to the fact that there is a river flowing into the ocean near by.Besides that this is a great resort especially for its price!
