Grandstand seat for a spectacular show
Property was exactly as stated on the website and was lovely and comfortable with good facilities while our host, Georges, was very helpful and if there was a slight breakdown in communication that was down to me.
The pool is small but with a good depth and perfect temperature while the indoor facilities were good though with weather like we had most of your time is spent by the pool if you're not out and about.
Biscarosse with its surfing beaches makes a good trip and so do the Dune du Pyla, Arcachon and Cap Ferret while Bordeaux is only an hour's drive and on your doorstep is the Lac de Cazeaux with warm bathing, sandy beaches, pinewoods, bars and restaurants.
There is a massive French air base next door but the flying seems tightly controlled and proved great entertainment as we watched from the garden the Dassault Rafale go through its impressive paces as well as practice displays by the French version of the Red Arrows and other display aircraft ahead of a major airshow the day we left.
