We spent a week at the Carvi and found it relaxing. The staff was great, the rooftop restaurant was wonderful, the pool area was fun and the snack bar personnel were outstanding. We had a little difficulty with the air conditioning, but once we figured it out, we were fine.

Amazing location right next to praia dona ana, and the long board walk trail. We stayed in a junior suite and I highly recommend this room type. Large balcony and beautiful ocean views. The staff were very friendly and helpful. About 20 minute walk to downtown Lagos. Would stay here again. 10/10.

Worth the money!
We thought this place was excellent for the price but do not want to give 5 stars and mislead people to think it is fancy. The location is excellent, the breakfast is good, the rooms are decent. The beach is right there and gorgeous and you can walk for miles on the trail leaving the parking lot. We would stay here again.

Overall this property is the good because of its location. The property itself is ok. I will say their cleanliness and staff is excellent. Only major problem I had was there was ants in my room and a worm I found in the bathroom the first morning I was there. I’m assuming the worm came up the shower drain. I didn’t bother making a complaint because after that I didn’t see another worm and I blocked the entryway where the ants were coming from. Last thing I will add is it’s definitely overpriced for the season and the facility in general.

What a treasure it was to find Lagos, Portugal and the Carvi Beach Hotel. We were travelling through Spain and Portugal and this hotel and location couldn't have come a a better time in the trip! All the staff are very helpful with whatever your request or question. The location is stunning! There are many beaches and walking paths around this hotel. We stayed in a clean, well-appointed room for four people. There were two beds in each room as well as a bathroom for each room. The rooms were separated by an archway to create a bit of separation for all guests. The breakfast was amazing and had a lot of choices for travellers. That breakfast area turns into a wonderful rooftop restaurant at night with spectacular views of the ocean. The beaches around the hotel are awesome with beautiful rock formations and tide pools. While you're at the Carvi Beach Hotel, make sure you take a boat trip to see the other rock formations and caves along the shore - it was worth every penny! It was such a nice surprise to find this area and we can't wait to return for a longer experience!

Hotel was in a perfect location to walk to old town Lagos and visiting beautiful beaches of Lagos. Hotel had rooftop bar and restaurant that gave you amazing views of the coast of Lagos. Highly recommend staying here if staying in Lagos!

Best location for gorgeous beaches!
Location is perfect as we could walk to beautiful beaches. Room is clean, breakfast is good. We had dinner at the hotel, delicious fresh fish and good Portuguese wine. A 3 star hotel so please do not expect too much services.

My mum and I had a lovely relaxing stay at this hotel. The room was basic but everything we needed, a good big shower, the bed was very comfortable, and some hanging space for our clothes. We also had a huge balcony with a sea view which was the cherry on top! We had a bit of an ant problem in our room, but I told reception and they had the cleaners take care of it. On day one we were a little bit disappointed with breakfast, but we learnt to love it in the end. Plenty of options, buffet style cooked breakfast, fruit, cereals, different cakes every day, a good coffee machine ect. The staff weren't the friendliest, but we worked on them, we made it our mission to get a smile out of them! The pool was the amazing, we spent a lot of time here. Much better than the beach in our opinion, because the beach had so many sand flies! The location was great, a really easy walk into town, so close to the boardwalk and the famous Dona Ana beach is a stones throw away. Overall we had a great time, It's not posh, if that's what you're looking for. But perfect for a chilled out holiday.

It is little away from the city center, but very close to the beach and the wood walking trails. The people are helpful and the breakfast is excellent.

We booked this place last minute. For the price it is OKAY. Very clean and basic amenities, I wish I could complain more but it was pretty decent. Super close to a beach, nice rooftop pool with views. I would say the worst thing about the hotel is the breakfast which is made for Brits. Also it’s a bit old… but not rundown somehow. It’s a bit of a stroll from the town but Ubers are sooo cheap that who cares.

Once you do a reservation they have cero consideration when it comes to cancel due to an emergency. I do not recommend this hotel to use at any point of time. I tried to cancel more than two weeks ahead of the reservation date and they just said NO. I have being prohibited to explain why of the cancellation but it was a fair reason.
