Nice stay
At first glance, we were a little hesitant about the stay. The unit was very clean and comfortable though. There was plenty of room for everyone. We would stay here again.

Quiet place.
Property was clean, and well equiped, less internet which could be resolved with another access point located in the barn. We had events in N. Manchester, for revival Services. Did not have any issue except for the beds, just not our preference. Host can contact me if they would like to consult onthe wire less connectivity.

James Dean Weekend
My husband and I spent the weekend with his sister and brother in law for James Dean and the Duck tail. We try to do this every year and we really enjoyed this property. We were able to return early one evening and sit around the fire, it is very peaceful. Everything was clean and comfortable, a really nice place! The only thing I didn't think about when I booked it was the amount of stairs ( my sister in law has a bad knee) I felt bad that she struggled a bit with that but all in all I highly recommend!

Loved it!
Awesome place! Clean and quiet. Everything and more than you need. Loved the scenery of the state forest and pasture. Host was great to work with and communication was on spot. Place is as pictures depicted. We were there for a wedding and it was a perfect location. Only 2 suggestions- put a TV in living room (TVs in both bedrooms - not in living room) and place a privacy screen of some sort in between the host house and apartment in barn.

Great location
Salamonie is a great middle location for a winter hiking trip. The State forest & dam are 5 minutes away & offer plenty of well marked trails. There are also miles of trails right out the front door. The accommodations were everything we could ask for. I made friends with the cat & the horse. We didn’t get to meet our hosts because we were on the trail fairly early each day, but the apartment had everything we needed & we had the hosts contact info if we had needed anything.

Imaginative Barn getaway
Beautiful unit built in part of their old bank barn. Stairs to get to main living area and add’l stairs to reach two bedrooms (low ceilings). The decor is fresh and the unit is clean. Quite remote and a peaceful setting. First VRBO rental that I had significant trouble with communication, WiFi not working ( our Van. cell service also didn’t work) and no washer/dryer. Cute pony below the unit looking for interaction and small group of healthy chickens to give you the full farm feel. Very cool hammock swings out front and a opening in patio that is for small campfire with four chairs. Leftover construction wood piled close by to burn if interested. We were gone most of our time celebrating our sons graduation so didn’t get to utilize. * I hope the HVAC draws outside fresh air and not air from inside the other portion of the barn. * It’s a fun experience and they’ve done a very nice job. Beautiful and large bathroom.

Owners are amazing! We had a flat tire and the owner helped us air up the tire so we could take it somewhere to get fixed. The home was clean and relaxing! Would stay again! When we first arrived, we didnt realize the owners home was so close, but it wasn't a problem at all! They were friendly and wonderful hosts!

Nice quiet area surrounded by lots of natural beauty.
The place is sooo cute. Well put together, the beds are comfy and it felt like home as soon as we walked in. The area around it is beautiful too, and it is so close to so many places to hike and spend time with nature. Would love to visit again some time.

Son’s Wedding Base Camp
What a beautiful, peaceful location! The apartment was well stocked and so clean. It was updated beautifully but with rustic charm and furnishings. We would have loved to have had an opportunity to hike the grounds and into the park but we were only focused on our son’s wedding at the Hopewell Barn. That will have to be on a next visit. Just a note for future renter’s consideration, there are stairs and steps to manage so if anyone has a challenge with stairs keep it in mind.

Sister Getaway
The four of us try together for a getaway 2-3 times a year. Our niece also tagged along. We grew up in the area and randomly found this “home away from home” location. It was the perfect venue for catching up, reminiscing, cooking together, laughing, playing 60’s music and enjoying our time together. The setting was beautiful. A true carriage house above the horse stable. Jennifer made Recommendations for the area and they were spot on for us. Already making plans for a return visit.

Wedding Weekend
Off the beaten path, this barn living quarters is very quaint, quiet and very nicely done! While in the living quarters you wouldn't even know you're really in a barn above stables. It came highly recommended by Deb at the Rustic Barn at Hopewell where my daughter's wedding was. About 15 minutes away from the venue, my daughter and her bridal party stayed here the night before her wedding and then got ready here the day of. It was perfect for them!

My husband and I stayed here for two nights. The property was clean and had everything we needed. The kitchen was well supplied with pots, pans, and cooking utensils. The scenery was beautiful. We were able to look at the horses and met a friendly cat. We would definitely stay here again and recommend this place to anyone!

Perfect Holiday Getaway
The apartment was immaculate and smelled clean and fresh from the moment we walked in. The photos don’t do the place justice, everything is very new and meticulously thought out. It’s in a quiet, serene setting on a dead end road, so no traffic. It was unique to wake up in the mornings and watch the horses outside. We got to bring our small dog which was a huge bonus. I definitely recommend staying here, especially for the price. The kitchen is well equipped and you will have everything you need.
