Located off a packed dirt road, this unique 4 acre property with pine tree forest is great for families and friends alike. Check in information includes detailed directions on how to EASILY drive to the house on a packed dirt road with minimal bumps.
With 3 different houses, The Hacienda, The Green Cabin and The Red Cabin, we can accommodate 14 guests in 5 bedrooms with a total of 9 beds. The Hacienda is a 1700 sqft house with evaporative cooler that sleeps 6. The Green Cabin is a 650 sqft 1950’s cabin with AC in the bedroom and main sitting room that sleeps 6 and The Red Cabin is a 350 sqft studio with AC that sleeps 2.
With ample space both inside and outside, Stoney Pines was designed around entertaining. With three separate buildings, a large BBQ area and a pine tree forest everyone will have their own space while still being close.
The Hacienda was designed after a traditional Mexican Hacienda by my grandmother with no detail overlooked. From the terracotta tile throughout the house to the traditional columns found both inside and outside, when you walk into this house you feel like you have been transported to another country. The Hacienda has an evaporative cooler, Swamp Cooler, to keep the house cool during the Summer and central heating for winter.
As a family who cooks a lot, we have a fully stocked kitchen from pots and pans to toasters, mixers and a small Cuisinart. We also typically have cooking spices, oil, sugar and flour, but do not guarantee these items as some guests clear out our pantry while other like to add. The stove is a gas stove that uses propane, so the burners get HOT.
The Hacienda is an open floor plan so when you enter through the kitchen, you will immediately see the living room/TV area and formal dinning room. Once past the kitchen bar you will see the guest bedroom with 2 twin beds and the guest bathroom. The guest bedroom has a large closet and small dresser with 3 drawers. The guest bathroom has a good-sized shower with tiled seat and this bathroom is where our washer and dryer are located.
Just down the hall is our Foyer where you will find our designated work area and the entrance to our fenced in backyard. After passing through the French doors outside you will see a large covered patio, flower beds and two grassy areas where pets and kids can play. In the backyard you will also find a BBQ for your use. We do not provide Charcoal or Lighter fluid, but we do have BBQ tools in the house and a BBQ cart for your use.
In the back of the Hacienda is a large Master Suite. This suite alone is about 700 sqft and has 2 sleeping areas, a large shower, a small toilet room, a pedestal sink with medicine cabinet, a small chaise lounge and a walk-in closet. In this room you will find a Cal King bed with 2 bedside tables and a Queen bed with one bedside table. There is also a large dresser with 9 drawers located in front of the Cal King bed.
The Green Cabin is one of 2 cabins on this property. It was built in the 1950’s and we have tried to keep it as original as possible. When you walk in the front door the first thing that will jump out are the full wood paneled walls. This is all original Knotty Pine paneling and can be found throughout the entire cabin. Upon entering the cabin you will see one bedroom, the main living room/TV room and a cabin style gally kitchen.
The cabin has a full kitchen with pots, pans, toaster and microwave. The stove is electric and is a newer model. You will also find some essential cooking supplies, cooking spices, oil sugar, but again we do not guarantee these will be there as every group is different and some prefer to clear out the pantry, while other like to add.
The front bedroom has a Queen bed, a bedside table and a dresser. This bedroom also has its own AC/Heater. The rest of the cabin uses the AC in the main room to keep the cabin cool and there is also a standing fan for the back porch/second bedroom room. During the colder months the cabin is heated using the pot belly stove located in the main room. This both adds great ambiance to the cabin and efficiently keeps the cabin warm.
The back porch/second bedroom has a Queen bed and 2 Twin beds. The 2 twin beds are a trundle so you do not lose space in the back porch when you are not sleeping. The bathroom in this cabin is a little small, since it was built in the 1950’s, but it works very well. In addition, the faucet, light and water heater have all recently been upgraded.
The remaining cabin on the property is The Red Cabin. This cabin is perfect for a couple or a couple with a small child. This cabin is a studio with bathroom layout and has a kitchenette. When you arrive you will find that this cabin also has a covered, but not enclosed front porch where we have provided some chairs for sitting. You can have your coffee out here or just sit and enjoy the surrounding trees and grey squirrels.
The kitchenette has a coffee maker, toaster oven, microwave and small refrigerator with small freezer. Once inside you will see a chair and small table, a Queen bed with 2 bedside tables and the kitchenette. The bathroom, considered large for a small cabin, is just next to the bed. This cabin has a window AC/heater the efficiently cools the cabin in summer and heats the cabin in winter. There is also a pot belly stove for heat if that is preferred.
This property has Ring Doorbells on all homes which be on during your stay. There are also 3 security cameras. 1 camera is on the Hacienda that faces he apricot tree, 1 camera faces the back road behind the Hacienda by the shed and the last one is on the Green Cabin and faces the back road behind the cabin.
