I do a good bit of traveling… the lady who greeted us was fairly nice, but the rooms smelled strange and smoky… nonsmoking room, comforter on bed had cigarette burn holes… only chai in the room had stains all over… stains on floor… bed was somewhat comfortable, but do not recommend.

It wasn't terrible, just eh.
The place was decent enough for a one-night stay, but that's about it. The "nonsmoking" room reeked of smoke. There was noise/partying all night. The breakfast was your choice of a waffle or cereal. We were told at check-in that check-out was noon, but housekeeping started knocking on our door at 11:30. The surrounding restaurants were also lackluster. Lancaster in general just seems to be a sleepy little town without much ambition.

This hotel has comfy beds. But it is old. A/C works, but it's very noisy. "Breakfast" was awful. The only options were waffles (but the waffle mix was empty), yogurt, or cereal. The staff were all friendly and helpful. In my room, the curtains were pulled off the wall on one end and would not close. The floors were hard laminate. This is an upgrade from my last stay here a few years ago. This is one of the only hotels in the area. And it appears to be almost full every night. But it is not "Quality".

A DECENT HOTEL FOR A SMALL TOWN
We stayed in this hotel approximately 14 years ago while in Lancaster for a funeral. The same is applicable for this stay. We did notice that they have updated since our last stay - vinyl plank flooring instead of carpet is always a plus. It also appears that the furniture has been replaced. However, the heat/ac is terribly noisy and the pillows are atrocious!!!!

Had a reservation and check in took over 15 minutes while the attendant wouldn’t check a line of people in because she was waiting on someone outside. Room was supposed to be “non smoking” and reeked of marijuana. The fridge, tv remote and multiple lights did not work. I was told breakfast was 6-10 and came down at 9 and the only thing available was cereal.

The room was supposed to be non-smoking but smelled like smoke. There was a fair a fair amount of hair in the bathtub. I found a dirty spoon with food residue that was on a high self. One of the clean towels had been placed on top of the spoon. (The shelf was high. The spoon was probably hard to see) The floor was sticky. The staff was very friendly. The rooms had a good design. I would be willing to stay there again.

The check in staff (Anne) was wonderful. However, when I checked out, I informed the front desk there was a problem with the heater in the room. It wouldn't cut off even when set at 58. We had to get up during the night and open the door just to let some of the stifling air out. It was so hot it was hard to breathe. Also, the toilet rocked like a rocking chair. Her response was, "Yeah, okay." She clearly had no intention of telling anyone in maintenance about it. Lancaster doesn't have much choice in hotels, but I'm tempted to forego the convenience of being close in order to be able to rest. Fort Lawn, Monroe, and Rock Hill aren't that far away. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were like rocks. We were deeply disappointed.
