The bed topper required changing. it appeared to have blood stains and other stains.It should have NEVER been put on a bed. An adjacent room we were shown had similar conditions. The sheet metal bed frame liner flexed and made a booming sound like a garbage dumpster being dropped. Who came up with this idea?! Staff seemed all rather disinterested.We also discovered the tub drained super-slow. Disgusting. I showed staff the still standing water an hour later. How could housekeeping clean the tub properly? And a $50 security deposit? I could argue for a full refund.

This hotel needs "Hotel Rescue". Two double beds with gross bedspreads and rug. One bed spread had a stain on it through the blanket and onto the top sheet. Told front desk clerk and he said we wash everything every day and did nothing about it. Also told clerk the room was not vacuumed, and he looked at us like we had two heads, there was food and dirt on the floor. Only gave us two towels for two nights for two people. No bath soap in shower. Then our ac broke with a flood on the floor. Went to front desk with a difft attendant, showed us one room he said was the only one left. It smelled like incense trying to hide something and the tv did not work. Was told 9pm someone will be there to fix, it was 6p. We were going to check out and he called in someone right away to get it running. I was sitting outside with two people looking to book a room, I did not say anything to them-they got a room. How did that happen when we were told no rooms left. We went to Walmart for cleaning products to get that terrible smell to go away along with keeping the window open, cleaning walls, doors, furniture, we were so tired from driving, all hotels in area were booked. The property was so dirty with debris, cigarette butts and garbage. Would not take much to clean that up. We will never stay at a Red Roof Inn again:(

The Red Roof Inn in Denver, PA is definitely NOT a place that you want to take your family. If you are travelling for work, just stay at the Comfort Inn or Hilton Tru right down the street. There is a lot of drug and gang activity (MS13 face tattoos) in and around the parking lot. There is definitely a lot of marijuana activity in the hotel. The smell is thick. On the first night of my stay, a guy was getting arrested right outside my first floor window. The parking lot was noisy well into the night. The linens were dirty when I arrived. I complained about it and the sheets were thankfully changed. The room was not really clean. There was mystery goo on the mirror and the floor was sticky. The staff ranged from sort-of-friendly to completely apathetic and dismissive. The guy (middle-aged bald man of Indian descent) who checked me in was beyond rude. I've never been treated like that in a hotel before. The bottom line is this: The Red Roof Inn in Denver, PA is not for normal travelling people and it's DEFINITELY not for families with children. The upper floors are "extended stay" rooms and this hotel is suited more for the kinds of people that might want an extended stay at a Red Roof Inn. By that, I mean, you know...addicts and prostitutes and the like. The staff are accustomed to dealing with people like that and that's how they will treat YOU when you stay here. So just be advised--this hotel is probably not for you.

They allowed ppl. to scream in the halls at 4:30 in the morning. Then a dog that was in the hotel started barking. I wanted to park in the handicapped and there was a car with no handicap sticker, so I went to the back to look if the the license had handicap and there was no tag!! The bed was hard and so where the pillows.

The room was quickly cleaned before i checked in. The a/c was off and the room had a smell to it that i bought an air freshener. Paint was chipping off the walls and the bathroom could use some love. Other than that, the room was comfortable. Stayed here a couple of times before and was not this bad.

Not a good experience.
We called to see if we can check in at 1pm instead of 3pm, because our event started at 2. We were told it was ok because check out is at 11, and they should have rooms ready, and no additional charge. We got there, and they said it was an extra $30 per room to check in early. I told them we called and was told no problem and no extra charge. So he said $20 per room. I had no choice since our event was still 20 minutes away from the hotel. So it cost an extra $40. Next the wash cloth on the sink was dirty. I brought to the night desk guy, who said it looked like someone stepped on it. So he gave us a clean one and an extra towel. Next the toilet paper was almost empty and no extra roll. So I went back, and he gave us a new roll. Then my friend went to take a shower, and he noticed a big clump of dried hair on the shower wall. He comes out to tell me, and notices there are stains on the bed spread, a cigarette burn also, he pulls up his sheets and the appear dirty too. He went to tell the night guy, who came in and took pictures of it all, he said he was going to report it. He clean the shower, gave us new bed linens. The blow dryer did not work either. Stains on the lamps too. The second room the tv would not work. I was told by many Red Roof were nice places. This was not. Don’t think I would use one again.

There is nothing unique. Rooms were not as advertised. The 2nd floor smelled of marijuana. Sheets were stained. The room smelled of smoke and cigarettes. The room was to be smoke free: There was roach traps under the bed. I originally booked for 2 nights. I went back online through the Expedia app and changed it from two nights to one on March 24th. It was never changed and Expedia and the hotel refused to give me my money back for the extra night. I was told by Expedia the only way to do it was to cancel the reservation and rebook it. The problem with that is, is the hotel was booked. That was a lie. A guy in our group called on the phone to book a room for the weekend and he was told they had rooms. Overall Customer Service is terrible on both Expedia and the Property are Red Roof Inn. Go somewhere else where the owner/manager will appreciate your business. The owner/manager of this particular Red Roof Inn is terrible and so is Expedia!!!
