Rest and Relax
Visiting family for weekend. House is wonderful. Friends and family came over and we sat on deck, watched hummingbirds feeding, young deer, young bear ran through side yard. Very clean. Many extras for guests we don’t usually find in VRBO rentals. Unique fun decor. Will stay here again.

Family Birthday Trip
We were visiting the area for my brother-in-laws 50th birthday. There are very few options for lodging in this area, so this adorable little house was a pleasant surprise. Very close to where we needed to be, but secluded from just about everything else. Our flights from California were a mess, this cute little house was very inviting and comfortable. We couldn't wait to take a nap! The hummingbirds, lightening bugs & nature were beautiful. We would definitely visit again and recommend it to everyone!

Home away from home
This house was amazing like she knew everything we needed was in this home. The wild life and humming birds were nice to watch relaxing on the back deck. Trail around the lake was wonderful, 20 min away. Ideal going to Gettysburg or Hershey ,right in the middle. Thank You for giving us a beautiful place to spend family quality time together.

Wonderful stay at the Owl House
Our host Lynne was wonderful. The Owl House was super clean & a real hoot to stay in. Our family loved the thoughtful decor and the relaxed setting with so much nature around. It was so nice to have coffee on the front porch in the morning while watching the hummingbirds come and go. We would definitely stay again. Thanks Lynne!

Secluded comfortable cottage in a safe rural neighborhood. Beautiful views from nice rear deck. Great for bird watching! Unique, fun and quirky owl motif throughout the cottage. Only complaint was trails were not maintained/mowed and therefore could not take advantage of what would have been a nice walk around the property.

Peace and quiet
Was in town for a Carlisle Event Weekend and very happy we stayed here as opposed to a hotel. House is super cute, very clean and has a beautiful setting. Very quiet with only sounds of nature. Great place to unwind after long days at the fairground. Enjoyed early mornings on the back porch looking at the scenery and the wild birds feeding their babies. Recommended if your planning to stay in the area.

The Owl’s Nest is the Best
This rental property is probably the one of the nicest places in which we have ever stayed. The Owl’s Nest is a charming little house that had everything we needed and more. The artistic, creative, and thoughtful little touches make it truly unique. Located in a serene open field it is the perfect habitat for wildlife such as deer, rabbits, turtles, and almost every type of bird from eagles to hummingbirds which we saw on a daily basis during our week long vacation. I would highly recommend the Nest to anyone who loves nature and is looking for a peaceful stay. Hosts Lynne and Mike are wonderfully accommodating.

Peaceful getaway
My wife and I spent a weekend at this beautiful home. The hosts are amazing, they were very quick to respond and very kind. We enjoyed seeing lots of wildlife including a bald eagle. We definitely look forward to staying here again in the future.

Host is attentive and replies promptly, gave a recommendation for a local small retailer with delicious baked goods, produce, and jarred items. House was clean, beautifully decorated, and way more space than needed for the two of us. The many windows and high ceilings made it bright and allowed us to see an incredible number of birds. Well stocked with any item one could possible need during their stay. Had a wonderful quiet weekend enjoying some overdue quality time with my best friend of 20+ years.

Best choice for a getaway
The Owl House is beyond comfortable and exactly as it appears in the photos. Lynne was a wonderful host and made sure we had everything we need, even bringing over some fresh picked daffodils, bird food and extra firewood. Great place to relax and reconnect with family and friends! THE BEST!!

Great getaway spot
Very clean, very cute and very peaceful! Beautiful view off the comfortable back porch. We also enjoyed the fire pit and the ping pong table. There are two mini fridges, so not a lot of fridge or freezer space so plan accordingly if bringing food. Great house and would stay there again.

Incredible!
Photos don't do it justice. The house was clean and cozy from top to bottom. We enjoyed watching the sun rise over the mountain from the back porch with a hot cup of coffee. Most importantly - the beds were so comfy!!! A comfy cozy bed just takes a rental to the next level - it was refreshing to get such a great night's sleep! The Appalachian, Darlington, and Tuscarora Trails are very close by for some top-notch hiking. A great diner and grocery store are also close. This house itself was great enough to just hang there all day. Large picture windows flood the house with natural light. And, the owners included small details such as basic toiletries and coffee for morning. I would absolutely stay again!

Wow! The Owl house is perfect!
Our family is so happy that we chose this home for our family. It was nice to have us all together in a home that has such personality. The mosaic art is very unique in the kitchen. I found a grandpa, grandma, and baby granddaughter hidden amongst the owls and other colorful, shiny objects while I was drinking my coffee this morning. We had a Dutch Wonderland rainout on Saturday, but a glorious Sunday morning for our granddaughter's football game. The Owl House was close to where the game was being held. We could not be more happy with our stay. There was an excellent line in communicating with Lynne. We wanted for nothing. The home is well-equipped with all that you need. There were plenty of spaces to gather. We would love to visit the Owl House again soon. Thank you, The Snyder's from Dayton, MD.
