Had extremely pleasant 3-month stay here (Jan-Mar 2017). Perfect location, with rapid access to everything in Las Vegas but just 40 minutes to Pahrump (Front Sight). Excellent place for snowbirds like us!
Property is well-stocked with shampoos, soap, body washes, garbage bags and even laundry detergent. Still, those sensitive to fragrances (as is my wife) should bring own toiletries.
Kitchen is VERY well-equipped. House large enough to be comfortable, plenty of room for guests to have privacy. Nice BBQ grill, table/chairs in back yard. TVs in downstairs living room, upstairs family room, and master bedroom. Upstairs FR especially comfy for lounging and TV binging. Cable TV (everywhere) and ROKU units in LR and FR are OUTSTANDING!! The Wi-Fi is OUTSTANDING!! Loved the security system...and checkers DO come to verify for alarms!!
Biggest (pleasant) surprise: the large closet off the Master BR has a kid-sized crib and daybed. Perfect little nursery for those with small children, including large collection of stuffed animals that the kids loved!! These were a HUGE help with our granddaughters!!
Brand-new, and excellent, gas-fired water heater. LOTS OF HOT HOT HOT WATER. Owner is extremely pleasant and responds promptly to questions/concerns. When old water heater failed, he got new water heater installed in less than 24 hours. Plus, offered to switch us into another property if there were any delays. Response was both efficient and gracious.
Some considerations for longer stays:
* Like all far Southwest and Mountain's Edge, property sometimes is in flight path for McCarren airport--as is much of Las Vegas. If you're from a city, you won't even notice. I'm from an extremely quiet rural area so it took a few days to adjust, then no longer noticed.
* Work with owner/manager in advance to arrange for mailbox keys and community facilities. Short-term visitors don't need, but they are helpful for longer stays.
* As in nearly all Vegas, houses are fairly close together. That's just the way it is here, with few expensive exceptions. The neighbors were nice, and respected privacy. Soundproofing is good.
* Four parking spaces, including garage and driveway. HOA does NOT allow parking on this street. Plan accordingly.
