It is a comfortable hotel. Personally, I loved it. The room was very spacious and the room was very clean. The mattresses on the sofa bed are luxurious. I recommend it. The only thing to check is that if you reserve a view of the city, make sure you pay more and they won't give you the room you paid for. That happened to me, but from there everything is great.

Parking is free & it's not far from the strip. Gaming floor has downsized. Did check-in electronically but had no idea where our room was located (property map didn't help-we only had a room #). No housekeeping services while we stayed there (we did not use the do not disturb sign).

Any time that you advertise renovated rooms and then provide un-renovated rooms you deserve 0 stars. However, I have actually stayed at worse hotels in Vegas so I am willing to settle for one star. Good luck to the owners trying to revitalize this hotel and bring an NBA arena to the site; you've got a long way to go!!!

Within the first 5 minutes of being in the room found that the cold water was not working and shut off was dripping. I touched the valve and it blew off gushing water into our 31st floor room. I spent 45 minutes dumping trash cans of water into the tub until maintenance arrived after 4 calls (2 calls we said the room is actively flooding-2 calls no one answered). Another 10-15mins working with the maintenance man dumping cans of water until help arrived after shutting off the building water. The Customer Service Manager Joel tried to help (an unexplained food voucher and kindly moving us to a room that wasn’t flooding), but not the above and beyond service you would like to expect at all. My wife and I were celebrating our 15th anniversary and the flood still remains the memorable event from The Rio. Just wanted the weekend to feel special and have a lasting memory that reflected, but we will definitely remember working to save the hotel customers from being inconvenienced from the flood.

They apparently just don’t care, what a complete wreck of a place. $50 for a “resort fee” when the pool is shut, the gym is in a tiny room, and so it’s $50 for internet that EVERY hotel on the planet now supplies for free. I wish i could share the video i have of my room, the elevators…wow this place is a wreck!!!!!

This was my first time at the Rio. I was there for the Judo worlds. It’s an old hotel and off the strip, but as far as a hotel casino goes, it’s not any of the casinos on four corners but for the price, it was pretty good. You won’t get much in terms of crowds and entertainment. I was there on a Friday Saturday and Sunday night and I couldn’t really find any entertainment anywhere. It being in Las Vegas, the drinks are still expensive and the food in the food court is still OK but The floor was full of a lot of nice dealers. That was a plus.
