The toilet stopped flushing in our first room. We had to move rooms at 10.10pm after returning from a night at the theatre. They upgraded us to an Executive Twin room and offered to help us pack up and move (which we declined). We also received two complimentary drink vouchers. Although physically in an upgraded room - the only difference was a complimentary large bottle of water, a tea pot, tea leaves and throws on the bed - we had no access to the other executive facilities such as internet, Pay TV, a code to the executive lounge, etc. So compensation wasn't really the $30 tariff the Manager claimed.

We were sent to a room that hadn't been serviced - not a great start. Quickly rectified but annoying. Rooms are dated and tired. Thought charging for the bottles of water left out on the bedside tables seemed a bit petty/stingy. Didn’t eat at the restaurant as again it looks very dated. Lobby looks like an airport lounge.

Hotel is noticeably dated. Rooms are tired and need an upgrade. Just 1 3 pin plug, and that in the bathroom, on which to charge your phone and iPad as well as boiling water for coffee or tea, both of which were missing and had to be requested from reception. A curtain enclosing the shower went out of fashion 20 years ago.

It has a comfortable easy vibe about it. The staff are awesome and the food in the restaurant and in room dining is exceptional. The only issue for me is the beds are a bit too firm.

We chose this establishment as it is Central to CBD and walkable to restaurants. It was very clean. But beware.. I prepaid for onsite parking only to find on arrival that there was no parking space left for us on the first night. Room was noisy with loud conversations in the corridors and kids running up and down. The cleaners came in even though there was a Do Not Disturb sign on the door and we heard them discussing which one of them would open the door and what they would say if we were in there. We could also hear quite clearly the people in the room above us doing their toilet business. The last issue was being automatically slugged a surcharge for a credit card payment without being asked how I was paying. Luckily I had my itinerary with the quoted price and straight away the price dropped considerably . Still waiting on my refund for parking.

Nice location easy and convenient to get to and very good parking only $10 a night. However the room felt dirty, there was snot left on our bathroom counter, the beds were comfortable however the matress was dipped. The carpets and furniture in the room felt old and bit gross.
