Magnificent
The house is outstanding and the views are mesmerizing. The house has everything you could possibly need while on holiday and located in an historic and very charming village. The pool area is nicer than most 5 star resorts, overlooking miles of fields and the beautiful countryside. We walked to dinner in the evenings coffee in the mornings. The Hotel De Quercy had fantastic meals and Etna pizzeria was perfect for a quick meal. Marie Claire could not be nicer and more accommodating. You will not want to leave this piece of heaven. We hope to be back.

Lovely Lauzerte
Lovely house close to the central square of historical and beautiful Lauzerte. An ancient building renovated tastefully and sympathetically with stylish and characterful decor. Spacious, well equipped and with good amenities. A travel cot and coverlet provided on request before arrival and a slight glitch with the swimming pool robot sorted out very promptly. Overall a great holiday in a wonderful place. Thank you to our host, Marie Claire.

A beautiful house in the most idyllic French village
A stunningly beautiful house on the upper level of the medieval bayside of Lauzerte just a short walk away from the main square with little cafes, bars/restaurants. The decor was very stylish, traditionally french and very well equipped with everything you need. The outside terraces were just superb with wonderful views across the valley and hills

Amazing gite
We spent four weeks in this fabulous gite in the heart of a beautiful village. All three beds were very comfortable and there was a bathroom for each bedroom so an ideal place for us and our two sons and girlfriends. The house is spacious but the absolute jewel in the crown is the gorgeous pool and garden with breathtaking views across the valley. Marie Claire was extremely helpful when we needed to find a dentist for my husband and communications were excellent generally. Loved it so much that we will definitely return! The village itself is lovely with bars and restaurants in walking distance and live music in the square.

This place is just amazing. The photos give you a real good idea of what it’s like, but, man, to see this place in real life blew us away. The house has been beautifully renovated over 4 floors. We couldn’t have asked for a nicer place in a lovely wee hilltop village. We’ll definitely be recommending to friends and family.

An absolute gem of a property in a delightful French medieval town. The view from the pool and outside area is quite stunning and one which we could not get enough of. And a host who could not have been more accommodating. Many thanks.

Wonderful!
A rare gem that we will return to in the future. The house and pool terrace are the best we have experienced in France. Lauzerte is also picture perfect. Nothing was too much trouble for Marie-Claire and we would happily give her a 5 star review too.

Beautiful sanctuary.
After 2 weeks in France we had our 3rd week at this beautiful house in Lauzerte. It was stunning in every way, and a lovely house to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. We took advantage of the pool, until the last couple of days, when the weather changed. The house was perfectly placed for the bars, restaurants , and shops in Lauzerte, including a great boulangerie. This old stone village house had been renovated with style. Would definitely recommend, and we hope to return in the not too distant future.

Perfect House in a perfect location.
This house is everything promised and more! Clean, comfortable and full of character. What cannot be described on the website is the breath taking, panoramic views from the pool area and the balcony off the kitchen. Add to this being in the middle of one of the most beautiful villages in France made our holiday unforgettable. Bars, restaurants and shops within easy walking distance and a supermarket 5 minutes drive away. Although Marie-Claire was not present she was easily connectable. The only 2 things to take into consideration are: The Wifi is very poor being only available in 2 rooms on the first floor. I think this is due to the age of the building and thickness of the walls. If you have kids perhaps make sure they have plenty of data! There are also quite a lot of stairs. One bedroom is on the ground floor but still 2 flights of stairs(through a cellar!) to the pool. That aside it is an amazing house and we had a memorable holiday. Thank you Marie Claire!

A Beautiful Property
A lovely traditional property in a truly delightful village. The property is very well equipped and also very spacious. The surrounding village is very picturesque and a short walk leads to a pretty square with a few restaurants and bars. The pool is lovely and private and there is a great selection of places to relax both in the sun and the shade. The balcony provides wonderful views across the countryside. Initially we were worried about parking but there was no need as we parked straight outside the front door. I would certainly visit again.

C'est incroyable!
We have stayed in many beautiful places in France over the years. But, our stay in Lauzerte took our breath away! Marie Claire and her husband were so welcoming to us and our friends in spite of my less than perfect entrance! Parking on a very steep hill can be challenging. And then we saw the view. We could not drag ourselves away from the patio. The house was thoughtfully supplied with everything we needed. Overall a truly amazing start to our holiday if France. It could not have been better!

Stunning house, pool and location
The best holiday home we have ever stayed in! All aspects superb: the location, the view, the house which was very clean, beautifully furnished and comfortable, the pool and lastly the medieval village of Lauzerte was amazing. Fab to be able to go out for a meal and not drive too! The owners are exceptionally kind and helpful. I would 100% recommend this holiday home.

Lauzerte is a very beautiful place.
The house is superb, the entrance through the hall to the kitchen/ living room has a fantastic ‘reveal’ as you open the shutters and see the panoramic view . The house is very well equipped, in particular the kitchen has everything that you would find at home, and all good quality. We really enjoyed our stay, lucky enough to have sunny afternoons for reading and swimming by the pool Merci Madame Niorte!

A beautiful house with very large rooms, very clean and has everything you need for a relaxing time
This has to be the best house and town we have ever stayed in France, the house is finished in a beautiful french style and done to a very high standard, even though it's described as a shared pool the owner Marie Claire gave us full use to ourselves, the views from the balcony are breathtaking. The town itself and the people who live there are wonderful and every time you walk around you find something new to see. I will return here again and would highly recommend this accomodation.

Beautiful townhouse with pool and spectacular view
Wonderful! The house, garden and pool are even lovelier than the photos and the pool is clean and warm. We had full privacy despite the pool being shared with the owners property next door. Marie Claire is a great hostess and always responded to my questions promptly. The place is fully stocked and we had everything we needed. I can highly recommend Mansion Lauzerte. Thank you! Some useful info: The gorgeous ground bedroom with the poster bed has an en-suite bathroom (the roll-top bath plus a separate shower) with washing machine / tumble dryer in a cupboard. This bathroom has a separate access to the hallway. The ground floor includes the kitchen/dining and informal lounge area opening out onto a balcony overlooking garden and pool. Interior stairs lead down to the outside. The first floor has one bedroom (with additional child's bed) and the formal lounge (with the wi-fi hot-spot). Separate bathroom with a shower. On the second floor, there is a charming rustic bedroom with the black and white tiled shower room positioned like an open mezzanine to the bedroom with a half wall for privacy, so a couple sharing need to be comfortable with this arrangement. Be prepared to look for a parking space as cars park in the narrow streets (right near the front doors) so we couldn't always park outside or at the owners garage. However, we always found a space, often just outside the property. Finding a parking space became a quirky feature of our holiday and is typical of medieval towns. If arriving on a Sunday afternoon, it is not easy to do any shopping on Sunday and Monday. My advice is to ask if any essentials could be provided (which I hadn't considered) or do essential food shopping at the airport in the morning or any supermarket you see open. They all tended to shut by midday. We ate at the pizzeria at the lower square on the Sunday evening. Generally, restaurants on the upper square shut early and we got turned away looking for a meal at 9pm because they were closing (despite other customers still eating). However a restaurant (almost opposite the Pizzeria) run by a Belgium and Scottish couple took us in -- they have a charming enclosed eating area at the rear of the property. In the end, we didn't eat in Lauzerte's upper square restaurants or visit the bars. Lunch times are also strict, mainly 11 - 1pm. Basically, plan for shopping and eating within the customary times. We ended up shopping at the supermarket just outside of Lauzerte.

Best place in all of Lauzerte
We fell in love with this property and the town of Lauzerte. We were in town with many other friends who stayed elsewhere and this house was the envy of all! The views from the balcony and the pool area oversee the entire town and the farm fields below. The house was clean and welcoming. The kitchen was stocked with everything needed to prepare meals of all kinds. We would stay here again without hesitation and I'm sure many of our traveling companions will also look to rent this lovely home. Thank you Marie Claire for making our first trip to France and Lauzerte so memorable.
