Nice hotel, good location only 15 minutes walk to Blue Bay - this can be walked along the road or along the beach. Although the beach at the hotel is small, you can walk for several km along the beach in either direction (as all beach in Mauritius is public), just requires a mix of walking on sand, in the sea, and scrambling over rocks!
Free kayaks a big bonus. Staff are excellent and very friendly.
Meals overly expensive - better to walk to nearby restaurants to eat at about 1/3 of the price, of which there are two or three within 15 mins.
Wifi is free but was non-existent for about half of my stay.
There is parking and a car would be useful if you want to explore more than the immediate surrounds.
Easterly prevailing winds in winter can mean beach is rather cold and there is not much to do nearby.

"I had an amazing stay. The service level was very high throughout. Excellent rooms with everything you need, clean and well designed. I went on two trips, but otherwise stayed at the hotel. Was worried before my trip if I’d get bored, but there was plenty to do, the food selection was plenty (6 restaurants) ..."

"Excellent service at buffet and restaurant. Very bad service at reception . Air conditioning didn’t work and it took 3 days to get a new room. Very hard to get a reservation , since there are only 2 restaurants."
