Fantastic views to the north out over our vineyard and beyond, vineyards as far as the eye can see

Others have said the breakfast was fantastic with bacon, eggs, tomatoes, juice, milk, bread, Berenberg jam, butter, breakfast cereal, coffee pods and a selection of teas provided

You can cook your breakfast at your leisure in the private undercover barbecue area

We were very pleased to be the South Australian Unique property finalist for the 2019 Homeaway Awards


We have created the perfect escape to the country in the beautiful Clare Valley Wine Region just 90 minutes drive north of Adelaide the capital of South Australia

"Bed in a Shed" and from August 2017 "Bed in a Shed Too" also on Homeaway are a fantastic way to experience the Clare Valley

You will stay in a wonderful location on our vineyard property at Leasingham Australia's capital of Riesling Wines

The owners,an artist and massage practioner welcome you to this great escape

Our Bed and Breakfast stay is only 5 minutes drive to Auburn and it's fine restaurants, 5 minutes to the historic town of Mintaro, 2 minutes to the village of Watervale and 15 minutes to Clare.



Please note

Available 7 days a week with a minimum stay of TWO NIGHTS on Friday and Saturday nights and three nights on Long weekends.

The price of $270 per night is for two people

Additional guests - $50 per night extra


This B&B was completed in February 2016 and we have used interesting recycled materials in a modern context

Feature old corrogated iron walls that are fully insulated, timber feature roof also fully insulated

Using recycled materials in this build the following give a unique feel to the accomodation, 1926 corrogated iron from a local home, 1840 Baltic pine timber from an old home in Clare, recycled Mintaro slate floors, a 100 year old old timber door, old leadlight windows, mahogany timber in the bathroom, jarrah posts form part of the ceiling, Queensland silky oak timber and the list goes on

The main bedroom and living area has a luxury King size Sealy bed, kitchenette, flatscreen TV and DVD, free Wi Fi, air conditioning and heating, tea and coffee making facilities with pod coffee machine and fridge

High quality carpet has been used in the bedroom

The entrance has a single Sealy bed with Sheridan linen.

An artist inspired bathroom completes the picture with shower, toilet and hand basin

Towels, soaps and hair dryer are included

Inside at night it's peaceful and quiet and the stars are just outside the door on a clear night if you look up


From the accomodation you look north out over our vineyard to the vineyards of Annie's Lane and beyond

On site away from the B and B we have our art studio and Gallery

One of the owners is a fully qualified massage practioner with over 20 years experience

With a room on site or in the B&B be pampered with a luxury massage

If you feel like being energetic the Riesling Trail bike way is just a kilometre or so away and we can organize bike hire for you where you can pick up your bikes and ride off into the sunset

There are over 50 wineries in the area to explore

Come away and recharge your batteries

In the winter we will set up the outside fire pit so you can toast some marshmallows

Fabulous time spent at Bed in a Shed
Our short stay in this quirky, amazing B&B could not have been any better. We loved everything about Bed in a Shed. Andrew and Carolyn are lovely hosts who supplied all the breakfast supplies we requested and kindly kept the weekend secret from my husband ( it was his 60th birthday surprise) The grounds are so relaxing, grape vines surrounding the premises. We highly recommend this B&B

Absolutely Bloody Brilliant!!!
Seriously, the place is fantastic, the service and set up brilliant, and Andrew was able to help out with a couple of extra requests. Nothing was to much. The location is great, Moos-lie the Sheep, Luna-tic the Goat and Cleo the dog were all friendly (as were the two guinea fowls). We visited only a few (?) local wineries and walked 26km is 2 days. A fantastic stay.

The space is unique, inviting, comfortable and super clean. The turntable with vinyl collection was just a perfect little touch. Wonderful getaway in Clare Valley
We had a fantastic experience staying at Bed in a Shed - the accommodation was gorgeous and unique, and even included lovely little touches for our 3 year wedding anniversary. The location was perfect as well, close to so many wonderful wineries and restaurants. We would love to come back!

We wish we could just move in and spend the entire winter here. Architecturally it's absolutely gorgeous with so many raw materials that make the place feel like a perfect little home. We had a gorgeous fire and vegetarian brekky items waiting for us upon arrival. The bed was super comfortable and every detail was appreciated.

Just perfect
Bed in a Shed is so much more than it’s name lends. Although hubby and I were excited about exploring the region, illness put a stop to that suddenly and we found ourselves confined to our accommodation and quite frankly we couldn’t have been anywhere better! We received the warmest welcome from Cleo as soon as we arrived (I love dogs) and entering the premises for the first time we were struck by the cleanliness and the small personal touches around the room. The surroundings were beautiful, the amenities were top notch, and we were given all the privacy we desired. The breakfast provisions were very generous too. The townships are all close together and if you don’t know what to do whilst there, Andrew has left plenty of information around to inspire you. I can’t fault anything in regards to our stay, so do yourself a favour and enjoy it for yourself. Thanks Andrew & Carolyn!

Great spot in the Clare Valley
We loved our stayed at Bed in a Shed - it’s so unique! Andrew and Carolyn are great hosts. We had everything we needed for our two night stay over New Year’s and Bed in a Shed is in the perfect location to explore the Clare Valley. We loved staying at Bed in a Shed! It was quiet, comfortable, beautiful and really relaxing! Andrew was incredible and not only was the check in process so effortless he even organised a wine tour for us and gave us heaps of amazing recommendations for wine and food in the area - he went above and beyond!! We had a beautiful outlook with vineyards, roaming hills and their gorgeous sheep, goats and chicken. Really comfortable bed, gorgeous accomodation and wonderful breakfast. Perfect getaway! LOVED it!
My husband and I stayed in the Bed in a Shed for one night but I wish we spent longer there! We absolutely loved it, from the easy directions Andrew gave us, to the immaculate presentation of not only the amenities but the building itself. I can't believe he built it! We were so so impressed. The bed was super comfy, the view out to the vineyard from the bed is stunning, the coffee maker and pods was a perfect addition. We made a delicious bbq breakfast from the eggs, bacon, toast, mushrooms and tomatoes left for us in the fridge. And I even had the little doggo come and join me for coffee in the morning, in the sun, overlooking the vines. There was a whole book of recommendations for dinner etc, and then when we left Andrew rushed out himself to say goodbye and have a chat. He even took the trouble of calling me after we'd left to let me know the winery we were going to visit - Annie's Lane - had closed, and he recommended another - Sussex Squires - which we adored! I just can't speak more highly of Bed in a Shed! I would love to come back for a longer stay!

Incredible! What an amazing space!!
Loved our stay here, the attention to detail was amazing. The breakfast spread was incredible, so delicious and there were so many choices! We found the place very easily with the instructions given, the room was very clean and Andrew even popped the heater on before we were due to arrive! Will definitely stay here again in future, thanks Andrew!
