2 Bedroom, 2 bath cabin nestled beneath The Icicle Ridge
(our guests comment..do not let the 916 SF keep you away, it feels much larger with the higher ceilings)
We are located just shy of two miles from the famous Bavarian Village of Leavenworth. Our cabin is nestled beneath the Icicle Ridge and has views all around of the mountains, valleys. The large sky is beautiful during the day and you can enjoy watching the moon and stars at night in this peaceful setting.
The Wenatchee and Icicle Rivers are just walking distance from the front door. Our quiet rural getaway gives you the mountain/country escape while being less than 5 minutes from the Bavarian Village Leavenworth with dining, entertainment, shopping and many festivals throughout the year.
Great hiking up the Icicle, rock climbing, mountain/road biking, groomed Nordic/downhill skiing, groomed/not groomed snowmobiling areas, kayaking/ rafting/tubing, national fish hatchery/walking trails and golf are minutes from your door.
Sleeping Lady Resort is located within walking distance which offers good food and drinks.
Although this is a new brand cabin and listing, this is not our first VRBO listing. We also own a beautiful condo in Leavenworth, see VRBO#444595 for details and our past guests reviews. We know that it is important for our guests to know more about us and the place that they will be staying at.
The cabin is 916SF and many of our friends that have seen it, mention that they would love to live here and a couple of others have already started this same house plan for themselves.
Don't let the size fool you, it has plenty of room to spread out.
A unique quality of our getaway is the owners live on site. We can offer you friendly local advise and information to make your stay a wonderful experience.
The cabin is located on the same property that we have built our new home in 2017. Our home is located at the front of the property and the cabin is located at the back closer to the woods. They are approx. 50 yards apart and have their own privacy and area to be outside. We know how important it is for our guests to get away and relax..the most that you might see of us, is when we are outside working in our new yard and making "new home improvements" around our home.
The cabin feels more spacious than the 916SF that it is, due to the high vaulted ceilings, lots of light from windows at every side of the cabin and views all around of the mountains and valley.
Come and enjoy all 4 seasons in our 2 bedroom (each with a Queen bed) and 2 full bathrooms (both with showers) and heated tile floors and wonderful A/C for those hot summer days.
You will enter into the cabin and right into the great room area that combines the living room and kitchen.
The entire cabin is floored in rustic wood laminate flooring, except for the bathrooms and they are tiled.
There is a large island with beautiful Quartz for preparing meals and gathering on 4 bar stools. There is also a small dining table with 4 additional chairs.
The kitchen is full equipped with slate finish appliances, large refrigerator with ice maker, dishwasher, built in microwave and stove/oven.
All of the other smaller basic appliances, toaster, coffee maker, blender.
There is a stackable washer/dryer for your use in the small laundry room.
Towels and all bedding is provided, clean and ready for your arrival.
All of the windows are trimmed in knotty alder stained in natural color, the pocket and barn doors are also knotty alder.
The 2 barn doors are the exterior to each bedroom.
The bathroom's have pocket doors.
The design is a bit rustic farmhouse.
There is a large outdoor space in the back of the cabin with Ponderosa pines and the beautiful mountain views all around.
If you are lucky and quiet, the deer will graze around you and pass on via the cabins back yard.
The yard is filled with many happy, chirping birds, quail, humming birds, kill deer (and their play dead antics) singing golden finches and more.

Leavenworth is a gorgeous alpine village right in the middle of the state, nestled in the heart of the Cascade Mountains. Town leaders remade Leavenworth into a Bavarian-style village in the 1960s to attract tourists — and it worked. No matter the season, visitors flock to this charming town to eat, shop, explore the beautiful surroundings, and participate in local events.
Winter is my favorite time to visit, a time when Leavenworth truly sparkles –literally, with falling snow and over half a million Christmas lights. There’s skiing, snowshoeing, sleigh rides, and the annual Christmas Lighting Festival, which turns the town into a winter wonderland. Make sure to check out the Nutcracker Museum and visit the Leavenworth Reindeer Farm, too.
There’s still plenty to do the rest of the year, as well, including river tubing, paddleboarding, mountain biking, horseback riding, wine tasting, and lots of great hiking. Near Leavenworth is Colchuck Lake, an eight-mile roundtrip hike that rewards you with a gorgeous alpine lake set between two of Washington’s tallest peaks. In the fall, the groves of larches turn golden yellow, which is spectacular against the aquamarine water. Colchuck Lake is also the gateway to the fabled Enchantments (in order to stay overnight there, you have to enter a lottery and win one of the few, coveted permits).
When it comes to dining, most of the restaurants are, fittingly, Bavarian-themed. Munchen Haus serves up German brats and brews in a fun, outdoor atmosphere. Bavarian Bakery is your stop for warm pretzels, strudels, and danishes. But if you’re craving something more refined, Larch, Yodelin and Prusik are some of our favorites.
Can’t-Miss Fun: In the summer, watch the Sound of Music performed outside, under the stars, in Leavenworth’s Ski Hill Amphitheater. There’s no better way to see it — magical and fun for all ages.
