For several l years we stayed at a friend's beach house nearby and love the area and all it has to offer. The Ashworth was in the area we love, the staff were friendly and helpful. Couldn't ask for more. I didn't have smartphone service to do some things but will learn how to use for future trips, including how to reply to your texts.

It really is the little things. There was no matress pad on the bed. The sheets were clean, but this was kind of gross. The matress appeared new and there were no stains on it but still. The room had a chair that was left over from a long time ago based on the wear. I am assuming the property is going through renovations because the flooring was brand new. Maybe, our room, the last one at the end of the hallway hasn't been finished yet. I lilked the location, the town was quiet due to off season.

Check in was not a welcoming experience. We were not told that our room was in tower 2. We took the elevator to tower 1 which is directly across from the front desk. We were on 7 of 9-day vacation. We had lots of luggage and were tired. The attitude of the front desk staff did not set a good tone for the stay. The hotel room is SMALL. I cannot imagine staying for an extended stay with such a small room. We ate on site since there was no way that I would ask for access to my car to go outside the property. The waitress was nice. Check out was much better. The valet was nice and helpful.

Haven't been to the Ashworth in 30 years....
Now I remember why... Ashworth by the Sea is an adequate hotel. The views are stunning when one has a balcony room overlooking the ocean and the rooms are nice. The issue that my family has with it is that Ashworth charges a premium price for the area, charging for valet parking in the off season, additional mandatory charge for their spa facilities when they seem to have just minimalistic facilities, while provided below average service for their guests. It wasn't an awful experience, just that there are plenty of other places that offer better values in this area.

Property was good even had Beekman 1805 lotions shampoo etc. on tap. Staff friendly and attentive. Only downside was we had noisy neighbors. Not the hotels fault and nothing anyone can control but it did affect our enjoyment there.

This property had renovations just for the lobby and bathrooms, everything else is very dated. The room we stayed in was 102, bed was full of crumbs and small hairs…yes, small hairs. We moved to a different room and stayed there for the duration of our stay. Had dinner in their restaurant, over heard the worker guy tell a lady who was eating dinner at the table that “we had to move 2 other groups for cleanliness.” We won’t ever stay here again even though the area was very beautiful. False advertisement for sure, and if you do stay here, bring your own sheets..

First class service! Jerry at the front desk was totally great allowing us early parking. We thoroughly enjoyed the easy access and having breakfast and a bar right onsite. An awesome location walk to everything, clean rooms ample room .

I have stayed here multiple times and love it. This past stay I woke up Saturday morning to take a shower and there was no hot water. I addressed the issue and they said they were working on it. Things happen my only irk was getting a $40 credit. I’m sorry but paying almost $300 and not being able to take a shower and only giving a person credit of $40 is crazy to me. Then when I was finally able to take a shower they cleaning staff had come in and taken the washcloths, floor towel and hand towel without replacing them.
