A 5 min drive to Gananoque - close to restaurants, golf courses, and trails for hiking, or x-country skiing. Great outdoor space that's flat and right on the water with a private beach area and camp fire pit. Indoors, the cottage has all the comforts you need for an enjoyable stay. Come make some memories!
Welcome to my cottage! I hope you find the place as relaxing as I do. I'm located on the Gananoque River, very close to the lively town of Gananoque and The 1000 Islands! The southern exposure of the cottage gives you all day sun and shade provided by the mature oak and maple trees that line the waters edge. Across the river, tree-lined crown land gives a gorgeous backdrop for secluded feeling views.
The spacious grassy backyard lines the waters edge with a sandy side lot provide lots of room to play. Steps to the waters edge bring you to a shoreside deck and a private sandy beach to enjoy all the water has to offer. The modest deck off the back of the cottage features our BBQ (propane provided) and a love seat to enjoy water views. A few more steps brings you to the large picnic table to enjoy meals on the waterfront. Cook up a meal and enjoy the view of the water! Our outdoor fire pit is the perfect place to enjoy some yummy s'mores. Firewood is available at the Home Hardware in Gananoque.
Your family and friends will feel right at home in the spacious open concept great room with kitchen, dining room and cozy living room with large windows that overlook the water and let in lots of natural light. The vaulted ceiling and floor to ceiling windows pull you to the water. Prepare gourmet meals in the fully stocked kitchen with ample counter space. I also provide many staples in the kitchen (e.g. tea, coffee, condiments, food wrap, tinfoil etc.) so you will feel at home. The large harvest dining table has seating for 10 and is the perfect place to have a family dinner followed by a games night. The living room contains a large sectional couch to sink into to watch Netflix or read a book while enjoying the ambiance of the electric fireplace.
Recently renovated, the cottage is very fresh and welcoming. The west side of the cottage features 3 bedrooms and the main bathroom. Take a bath in the soaker tub or shower in the walk in shower. The master bedroom features sliding glass doors to wake up to the view of the river and walk out to the deck. Or pull closed the blackout curtains and sink into the queen bed for a relaxing nights sleep. The ensuite walk in closet and two piece bathroom can give much needed privacy from the rest of your group. The second bedroom also contains a queen bed and has a dresser to store your belongings. The third bedroom contains two sets of twin over full bunkbeds and is the perfect kids retreat.
My 4-season cottage can be enjoyed year-round! Bring your own boat or watercraft to enjoy the water. What better holiday than to while away the time with a fishing line hanging from your boat as you ease down the Gananoque River, or head up to Gananoque lake where bass, pickerel, pike, and perch can be caught. We have a private waterfront area where you can wade in and swim in the calm waters. The river gets deep fairly quickly and is great for swimming. Just down the road you can find the Marble Rock Conservation Area which has some great walking and bike trails. The proximity to Gananoque is great draw for sightseeing including the iconic 1000 Islands Boat Cruise and Helicopter Tours. In the winter, you can enjoy time ice-fishing, building a snow-fort, or exploring The 1000 Islands area with many trails while snowshoeing, cross country skiing or snow-mobiling.
The cottage is located on the rural Marble Rock Rd, so there is the occasional car that passes by. Sitting on the riverside deck, you can be exposed to the sound of the resident owl hooting as well as the occasional distant train whistle.

My cottage is located on Marble Rock Rd with road access year-round. The neighbourhood is quiet and peaceful, but since it's located directly off of Marble Rock Rd there is the occasional vehicle that passes by. There are some other locals along the island, but once you're on the property you'll feel very private as property line between the westerly neighbour is cedar tree-lined and a large field sits to the east.
The cottage is situated on calm waters of the Gananoque River that connects up to Gananoque Lake.
Nearby you can visit Gananoque for a bite to eat at the local restaurants, as well as get some ice cream! You can also spend the day and take the infamous 1000 Islands Boat Cruise or head on over to the golf course. The Playhouse is a great place to catch a show, or spend time antiquing and shopping the town strip. Head to the Shoreline Casino for some fun. Just a 5-10 min drive away, Gananoque is home to some larger amenities such as Home Hardware, Canadian Tire, Tim Hortons, Metro, and Shoppers Drug Mart. Kingston is a quick 25 min drive away for major amenities, such as Walmart, Home Depot, Pet Value, and Starbucks.
Once you book with us, I will send you a detailed Welcome guide with all my insider recommendations!

The running water is pumped from a well and is relatively hard water so will have a slightly metallic smell. It is clean and sufficient for your cooking needs. We have a water cooler in the kitchen for your drinking needs.
The house plumbing works on a septic system. Please do not pour any type of oils/grease down the drains that could clog the system.
The cottage is heated by a propane furnace and cooled by central AC.
We are in nature! For the summer months we highly recommend bringing bug repellent! Other tips for dealing with the mosquitoes is to wear light coloured clothing and avoid wearing perfumes.
To ensure you have a wonderful stay, we’ve equipped this home with a Minut sensor. It monitors noise (but does not record sound), occupancy, temperature and humidity, helping us keep our home and our neighbourhood safe, healthy and comfortable. It notifies us if it gets too loud, to ensure all guests have a pleasant stay and our neighbours are not disturbed.

We do our best to clean the waters edge for guest enjoyment, but as we are in nature, the flow of the river can change from day to day (even hour to hour) due to the dam upstream. As such we provide a skimmer in the shed to easily remove any natural accumulation on the shore that might occur during your stay. We are not responsible for the state of the River during your stay and no refunds will be given due to it's condition.
