Alia's picturesque villa.
Beautiful villa, spacious and luxurious, located just a few meters above the sea. The house has 3 sunny bedrooms, a huge living room, a dining room and a 3000m2 garden full of flowers and trees! Every single detail is decorated by the owner with personal taste.
Our house is situated in a beautiful area, in the southern suburbs of Mytilini, close to the airport and nearby the sea. It has been built with modern materials and stylish furniture. The building covers approximately 200m2 and offers to guests impressive views all day long.
The house is laid out in two levels : on the 1st floor, upper level, there is a bedroom with a double bed, delicate furniture, hand-picked paintings and a balcony with a magnificent view of the Aegean sea. There is also a closet and a big private bathroom with toilet, shower and bath tub.
On the bottom floor, entrance level, there is a large living room with a fireplace, antique wooden furniture, and hand-picked paintings. There is also a large dining table, where you and your friends can enjoy lunch and dinner. There is also a fully equipped kitchen with an extra dining table and a WC! At the same floor, there are two bedrooms with one double bed and two single beds. A huge bathroom, that reminds ship's cabin with a large bath tube serves this level. Every room is surrounded by big verandas with tables and chairs, where you can relax and enjoy sea view, trees and flowers.
We have created and decorated our house with taste and inspiration, blending traditional and modern elements either owned by our ancestors or hand-picked by ourselves, always in respect to the spirit of Lesvos island. We are proud of it and we hope that you will enjoy it too!
The guests will enjoy under the light of Greece, the air of Lesvos and our beautifully decorated spaces, a huge garden and large verandas offering amazing views. They are mostly welcome to enjoy a comfortable and relaxed stay, with access to a fully equipped kitchen (including dishwasher) and an adorable garden. We are very proud of our garden, which we take care in order to be green and colorful!
Our neighborhood is quiet, you can literally forget about time here and relax just a breath away from the sea. 250m from our house is a beautiful beach and some meters next to it there is a fully organised beach bar with sunbeds, umbrellas, coffee, drinks and snacks.
Lesvos is the third-largest island, after Crete and Evia, and has a picturesque and constantly changing scenery. To the west, the lunar-like plains give way to the long sandy beaches and salt marshes in the centre of the island, while in the east side dominate ever green forested mountains and thick olive groves.[around 11 million live trees.]
The town capital, Mytilini, is a vivid port which abounds in both ouzeris and nightlife. The island’s accommodation is adequate and satisfactory enough, while the north coast town of Molyvos [Mythimna] with its much obliging treat, promises to meet every visitor’s (email hidden)s old quaint and traditional houses stacked and pinned on winding lanes overlooking the sea, seem to have just popped out of a fairy tale. Lesvos also takes pride in its cultural attractions which vary from contemporary museums to Byzantine monasteries.
Lesvos is surely one of the most prosperous Greek islands thanks to both its touristic appeal and its local olive-oil production. These two assets along with its ouzo and wine produce make the island particularly famous worldwide.
The endless opportunities for outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling and birdwatching surely make Lesvos popular with nature lovers. Its therapeutic and relaxing hot springs are also something that Lesvos is proud of.
The island of Lesvos has also to show a huge cultural legacy which dates back from the 7th century until nowadays. The musical composer Terpander, the poet Arion along with the Nobel Prize-winning poet Odysseas Elytis and primitive painter Theofilos are all of them indigenous personalities. The prominent philosophers Aristotle and Epicurus also used to have an academy here in Lesvos. However, Sappho seems to be the most distinguished Lesbian figure which, in turn, entrances and finally leads lesbians from all over the world to Scala Eressou, her seaside hometown, to the west of Lesvos.[630 B.C]
Lesvos never sleeps and that is because of the incessant life all year round which is instilled not only by the island’s nature, but also by its university students who literally inundate the island while they enjoy a top quality education in University of Aegean.
There is public transportation towards our house, but we recommend renting a car in order to explore our beautiful island!
