A corner in heaven!
In the most attractive area of Lesvos, overlooking the city of Petra, there is a small settlement, surrounded by walnut trees and poplars called Petri. Gifted with a breath-taking view, this is the place where time has stopped, a peaceful place waiting for youā¦
In spring and summertime Petri becomes an international haunt, since many foreigners have bought houses here.
At the corner of Petri, through a private road, you can find a beautiful traditional house, full of light, where you will enjoy the most enchanting sunset, with the sun diving into the sea every nightā¦
Built on two levels, the house accommodates up to six guests, in three charming bedrooms at the second floor, provided with wooden floor and windows and a balcony overlooking the sea. All the rooms are furnished with taste, offering the most comfortable environment for a wonderful stay.
At the first floor, all covered in natural stone, a large living room with kitchen and fireplace is complemented by a cozy reading room. Outside, a large balcony and a flowery courtyard with view of Aegean Sea will be the perfect set for eating with your friends and family, for a great start in the morning, or a romantic dinner at night, cheered by the sound of nature.
Next to the house, you will find a traditional pottery workshop owned by the same family, where you will be able to see the whole procedure of ceramics crafting. If desired, a ceramic class can be arranged upon request.
The village of Petra, with its marvelous sandy beach, colorful tavernas, trendy bars, and restaurants is located only 5 minutes driving, or 30 minutes walking. Petra takes its name from the giant monolith located some distance inland and capped by the eighteenth-century church of Panagia Glykofiloussa, reached via 114 rock-hewn steps.
