With the parking for the restraunt, things got pretty crowded. The room was excellent and the staff was great! I wish the hot tub was a little warmer as it was pretty underwhelming. Otherwise, it was an excellent stay and I will definitely book here again!

The main lobby is beautiful and welcoming as are the staff on site. Rooms are dated with peeling areas and cracks on ceilings, mismatched covers on lights, lumpy beds and pillows etc. Cleaning staff did not empty the full garbage when they did the room and didn't actually put the fitting sheet on the bed, just laid it on the bed not pulling it down. The room was extremely noisy being across from the elevator and the window facing the outside entrance to the lobby. Compounding this was the employee (confimed it was an employee and not a fellow guest) that has a very loud exhaust on thir vehicle, does not utilize the employee parking lot behind the hotel, makes 2am trips out and back and starts their vehicle at 6am and brings it to the front outside lobby area and leaves it running directly beside the window to the guest room for 30 minutes. After inquiring with the front desk staff after experiencing 3 mornings of this (to confirm it was an employee not a guest - appreciating they do not have control.over guest behaviour/parking etc.) The front desk staff said they would speak to the employee and nothing changed. I wouldn't stay here again however the Firestone restaurant atta hed to the hotel was fantastic!

When I got to the hotel they put me in a room that I asked for however even though it wasn’t the heating/air conditioning units in my room something above me was rattling every 15 to 45 minutes like a train going by. I can only assume it was something to do with the ventilation units themselves. Pretty sure they must’ve known about this beforehand and could’ve put me in a room where this wasn’t about to happen. I have stayed there previously and found it lovely especially the restaurant and patio which of course were closed on Christmas Day. The night before I had stayed in Calgary for Christmas Eve and had a nice little gift basket with cookies and oranges etc. Nothing so enchanting here. After telling my family who live in the area how lovely this hotel was I had to go back the next day and eat my words.
