The cottage is set back from the street, surrounded by trees, and backs up to a small ravine, so it is very quiet and peaceful. The covered front porch with a large table is a great place to enjoy meals and play games. And the beach is just a few houses down the street. The beach itself is large, secluded, and peaceful. While the beach is sandy, you do have to get over some rocks to get to the water, so water shoes are recommended. And a raft or two if you like floating on the waves. :)
The cottage itself is very neat, clean, and beautifully decorated. The posted pictures are current and accurate. The kitchen and bathroom are well stocked with some special treats like wine and candy. The bedrooms are cozy with comfortable mattresses and lots of pillows.
Lexington is always fun. Visit the little shops, especially the general store. In Port Huron, I’d recommend The Raven restaurant and Kate’s Downtown as well as a stop at the Fort Gratiot lighthouse.
All in all, it was one of the nicest cottages on Lake Huron that we’ve stayed at. Thank you for the relaxing time!
