Nice hotel in the historical center
Nice hotel, reception works 24 hours and scrambled eggs on breakfast are delicious. Also the shower was very comfortable.

Small clean hotel centrally located in historic area. Walkable to many historical landmarks. Complimentary hot water and coffee in breakfast area all day long. Duvet too warm. Room small but cozy and comfortable. Due to location on major bus route, we were pleasantly surprised not noisy at night. Staff very friendly and helpful. Included a free bottle of local wine - very sweet, more like an juice. Joined a volunteer guided walking tour (gave tips after 2.5 hour tour). Close-by Chinatown was all local Peruvians, did not see any Asians, unless looking in mirror. Was advised by tour guide and others not to go to area south of Chinatown, but walked through the packed (with street vendors and pedestrians) area safely.

Room was very nice, with wonderfully bathroom. Perfect for a single person. Location, right in the historic center. Breakfast rathere indifferent. Only down side is tge noise fron the street. If you light sleeper dont expect to get quiet well after midnight..

This is a modern boutique hotel located midway between Plaza de Armas and Plaza San Martin, the two most visited plazas in Lima's Centro Historico. It's also located along one of the busiest avenues in the old Lima hence a lot of noise from the outside until past midnite. The hotel is very clean and very modern but has very minimal amenities. They have two small bar soap and two small shampoo. They provide two big towels, one medium towel and a floor towel. Shower works really good with hot and cold water. Airconditioning and wi-fi all works well. They have a safe box. They also have a small fridge in the room. Linens and towels are clean and white. Bed is medium firm and they provide only two pillows and two throw pillows. They have a flat screen tv with ample channels to watch. They dont provide comp bottled water. It is just at the corner of the walking street and so its safe at night if you will just stay in the main street. The staff is hospitable and welcoming. I did not try their breakfast since my flight is early in the morning. Lots of restaurants, shops and casinos in the area. For its price, location and cleanliness, I will stay here again if I want to visit Lima's Historic center.

Inadequate customer service
I reserved their parking in advance and on the arrival day, the elevator shaft was being used for some construction in the basement. It took me 35 min just to drive 4 blocks around the location. After checking in my room smelled like cigarettes. I went to lobby and because of both inconvenience, they were willing to upgrade me to a bigger room for only one night, then will have to return to the room I previously reserved. After all the inconvenience and disappointment with Hotel Diamond Lima, I felt that this offer was not good enough to compensate me for all the headache I went thru and I eventually cancel my reservation.

The property is closed by shopping areas, restaurants, cathedral and the main square in Lima. At night could be noisy for the flow of cars in the street, I needed to asked 3 times to receive the VIP amenity.

Everything was great with the property except the service at breakfast. We were there for 4 days. The first day the service was awful, very slow, and hardly any utensils. I had to butter my toast with a spoon. The second day it was a little bit better, but we didn't get butter and jam. The last two days were about the same. Slow and no butter and jam.

It was a comfortable spot for our one night stay in the area. Close to several points of interest. It was a bit loud at night with “city” noise. I would recommend ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. The hotel does have a nice atrium for breakfast with a nice staff.

Staff were absolutely incredible. However, this property is located in a very active area. Therefore, it can be really noisy at certain hours. Wear ear plugs or request a room away from the main street area.

Elevator is extremely small; even two people with basic luggage can’t fit in. Rooms are fairly clean. Front desk people are friendly. But should have some English speaking receptionists.
