Had a two night stay here. Room was clean and tidy. Bed comfortable. Iron and ironing board, hairdryer and tea/coffee facilities all available in the room. Had a couple of problems-light switch not working and the plug in the sink got stuck. Mentioned them and they were sorted very quickly. The restaurant across the way was great for breakfast and dinner. All in all a great stay!

It is a very practical hotel and the staff is very helpful. The room and bathroom were extremely clean. However the bed was rather uncomfortable and could have done with a new mattress. If your room is facing the road, the double glazing is too thin to stop the noises from the bypass.

We drove past it at first as itā€™s hard to tell itā€™s a hotel from the outside. Inside the place is immaculate & feels new & fresh. On entering our room we were impressed by the decor & large roll top bath in the room. Itā€™s only when you start using the facilities u realise wow does not equate with user friendly. The tea/coffee facilities, with a very loud kettle, are directly under the mirror so itā€™s not hygenic or safe doing your hair & makeup over it. Thereā€™s a long shelf on far wall with 2 stools crying out to be the dressing table but itā€™s neither use nor ornament. Thereā€™s nowhere to put a drink down when youā€™re in the bath. The shower is terrible, trickle of water and no pressure. I had to move around to try & get wet and Iā€™m not a little lady. No toilet roll holder so one is reaching around them trying to locate it amongst the folded towels, plastic cups & toiletries. I feel as with a lot of hotel rooms the person who designed the rooms is a man & has not stayed in them. I feel bad picking out the faults as the room was spotless, the bed was very comfy and everything Iā€™d need (fan, slippers, robe etc) was provided including a complimentary bottle of fizz. If I was in the area I would stay here again as, for what you get v what you pay, Damonā€™s is amazing

Well worth the cost.
Very nice hotel, clean and welcoming. The reception staff are very helpful, booked a meal in the local restaurant, I would suggest you do this as the restaurant gets very busy. Go for the B&B option as the breakfasts are amazing. Hotel room is very comfortable, we had a deluxe room.

Stayed here before rooms are comfortable and bed is enormous. A fair amount of traffic noise from the A46 at night and it was slightly irritating that the broken bathroom door lock was not fixed after we reported it. Will stay again if available.

A superb stay at Damons
This hotel never disappoints, Supas usual the room and the overall service were top class. The friendly staff go out of their way to make a memorable stay. John and Loraine the owners make you feel special and all in all my Wife and I cannot wait to return. Add to that the superb food in the restaurant and you could not ask for more. 5 stars.

Staff were friendly, the room was clean and the bed enormous! ( super king size?) The negatives were that, it waz a warm night so we had the window open and with tge hotel being on a busy dual carriageway there was a lot of traffic noise. The shower wasn't very powerful. The supply of tea and coffee in the room was poor ( one PG tips teabag) - we could have picked up more from reception presumably, but would have expected 2 teabags minimum! Power sockets on the desk weren't fit for purpose- too close to the desk to plug anything in. Damons restaurant next door was expensive and the food indifferent. We had breakfast elsewhere.
