Lollygagging in Lindsay, Texas.
It's a budget motel, which is why I booked it. My origninal purpose for the trip changed and it was too late to cancel the reservation, so I to go spend the night and head up the road to Muenster to eat in the German restaurant. The room was clean and neat. The air conditioning unit seemed to be ready for a filter change but other than that, I was pleased. It was a nice relaxing weekend diversion.

We went to stay for Germanfest. It wasn't bad, but wasn't great. Overall, the room was pretty clean. The linens smelled a little musty, but didn't have any stains. I had to dry off with the washcloths I brought because the towels smelled really bad. The bathroom door had no lock, which was okay because it was just my fiancé and me. I would rate a 3, but other than the towels and the lock I wasn't that disappointed. And the location was great. I'd probably stay again and just bring towels with me.

We'd stayed here several years ago. It was inexpensive and comfortable. It is no longer either. Beds were hard & uncomfortable. We woke up with back pain. Bathroom door wouldn't shut or lock. Bath gel dispenser was broken. We had no room service (3-night stay), requested towels, did get them; requested coffee & room service, did not get them. Guy at front desk was unfriendly and not helpful. I suspect there's new management. If you can afford to pay more, get a better place. If not, this place is barely adequate.

Arrived at 4:08 for our after 4pm checkin and spent 15-20 with clerk trying to find our reservation while refusing to enter confirmation number. After finally entering the number at 4:35 to be told that our reservation was cancelled due to my credit card declining. Told that I was notified twice via email that it was going to cancelled because of it if we didn’t contact with a valid card. First my card was never declined or ran and second there were no email confirmations sent by the hotel or Travelocity. Clerk blamed you then offered many reason why they could hold the room then told me to be quiet and she would explain. She told us first that they cancelled because they were booked full then offered us the exact same room for 169.00 for the night. I told her she was lying so they could charge more $ for the room. American Express is checking to see if my card was charged in Feb when reservation was made. We ending up having to make a 3 1/2 hour drive back home after our event because of having no room. Very disappointed .
