Everything was designed for comfort, nice ambience, and great view from the room. Big plus was a mini kitchen in the common area with a fridge, utencils, dishes, coffee, microwave. Safe and convenient location. We loved the stay.

The staff here is very professional and helpful. The rooms are very nice and spacious. The issue is that our air conditioner did not work, and we had trouble sleeping due to the heat. (we stayed at the end of May -high 75 degrees F) We reported it in the morning, but they could not get it fixed. They offered to move us to another property, but we were checking out very early the next morning to catch our flight home. We decided it wasn't worth it to pack everything to move to another building. We made do with the ceiling fan. Had I know the air conditioner was not going to work, I would have not booked at this property. Note: They couldn't move us to another room in that building because other rooms in that hall also had an air conditioner that did not work. If having air conditioning in our room is a must, take that into consideration.

Wow. This place blew me away. Fantastic stay. Everything was great. The staff and the coffee/water bar were much appreciated after long travel days. The hotel is located just a tad bit off of the busy Lisbon district but walking distance to get to anywhere. Super thick walls and a dark room created the perfect restful environment to sleep. Would definitely recommend!

My wife and I stayed at Casas de Sao Bento at the start and end of our Portugal trip. We had a 1 bedroom first and a smaller room at the end. Both types were very nice. The walk into the more touristy areas is ~ 20 minutes up and over the hill, but it is enjoyable and you get to experience the city more. We got used to that cobblestone walking quickly. The staff were all great. We dealt mostly with Laura on both stays and she was so very patient, helpful and kind to us!

The hotel is boutique type and each room has its charm. Ours was very cozy and with an outdoor terrace. The host Laura is very friendly. The hotel is very close to the main attractions. In the surroundings there are many eating options, bus stations, parks, markets. My wife and I enjoyed 3 nights at this fabulous place.

Lovely furnishings and room! Laura greeted us on arrival and was so wonderful! Transport to the airport arranged for us and we thought Pedro was great! The view across the street was spectacular! Easy walkable access to restaurants, historical sites, etc.

Great stay in Lisbon
We had a wonderful stay overall. The morning after our first night we awoke to someone unlocking our room door and entering until we said something, they apologized but it was never actually addressed by anyone. Leonor was great at communicated with us prior to our arrival for check-in as well as providing resources for things to do and places to eat. She also secured us a reservation for Fado Dinner. If it hasn’t been for the mistaken entry, I would have given 5* for communication. The room didn’t have great airflow and got stuffy at times, opening the door to the patio helped. Overall it was a great stay and a charming room. The location was great and would recommend to others.

Great location, right across from the Parliament. Many grocery stores and dining options nearby. Quiet at night and busy with regular traffic during the day. The apartment is roomy and ideal for a couple looking to stay in and cook or use as a comfortable base to explore. Many modern touches throughout the space with plenty of charm and character. Good value as well.

We immediately felt very welcomed upon our arrival to Casas de São Bento! Parking was a bit tricky to find, but the staff were extremely helpful in guiding us. The apartment was very clean, comfortable and homey. We arrived to a welcome drink of Port wine, water and coffee/tea were available and the kitchen was stocked with everything you’d need. Casas de São Bento was in a perfect location for our trip! Walking distance to the tram, bus and train stops. There were also a lot of great restaurants only a few minutes walk. Staff helped map out some tourist routes for us, highlighting key places to visit (and how to get there!). When we needed help throughout our stay, they were very quick to respond to messages and provide support. I would highly recommend staying at Casas de São Bento if you’re in the Lisbon area!
