This was our first trip to Lisbon and stay at ibis Lisboa José. We were are aware the location was a bit out of the main area, but with traffic it ended up being a lot farther to see the nearby sights than expected. The only thing we really liked was the staff was friendly and welcoming. The room was clean, didn't seem sparkling clean but decent. The room was very small. There was a lot of things we expected for a hotel room that were absent, no coffee machine or kettle, no mini fridge, there was no plug ins beside the bed so you need to charge your phone by the window. The room was so tiny that you could only open one luggage at a time and had to keep everything zipped up or you couldn't walk around the room. It didn't feel like a hotel room, it felt like a hostel that was 10x the cost of a hostel. Overall for the nightly rate we expected more. We were limited as we were travelling with a pet, they are pet friendly so that was a plus! But there was a large pet fee which was also a negative. I wouldn't stay here again.

This room was way too small for 3 people - you couldn't even get around furniture and the air was not working - actually they wouldn't let you control it yourself so we had to open the window and it was extremely noisy. Also only one flat pillow provided per person. Do not recommend and would not stay again.

Basic accommodation, but very clean and quite a good location--aside from the planes flying low overhead at all hours. Food in the ground-floor restaurant was mediocre at best. We had dinner there once; other nearby restaurants are a much better choice.

Great place away from noisy streets of Lisboa. In front, you can catch the hop on Hop off bus. Underneath Parking is just 9 Euros a night.

Very old fashioned and tired rooms. Aircon only worked if temp above 24 degrees so the room was too hot and uncomfortable. Lifts too busy and took a long time. Just not really value for money or enjoyable.

Stayed a few nights after cruising. The personnel at checkin were very helpful in outlining how to get around using the Metro and with the transfer to the airport. Breakfast was included and was very good with lots of options. We’d book again!

The check-in process was easy, thanks to the fast check-in service. I was able to access my room before the official check-in time. Amelia and Miguel were very welcoming members of the staff. However, I didn't have the same experience with the bar staff during my stay. The food and drinks at the restaurant bar were somewhat expensive and offered limited options. While it is located far from the city center, it is conveniently near the metro blue line.

The front desk agents were very kind and the downstairs lobby looked promising, but the room and bathroom were kind of a let down. Bed mattress was actually a two inch mattress pad on top of a frame. The room wasn’t dirty, but it felt like it could have been cleaner and the bathroom updated. Sink was not draining efficiently and not enough towels unless you asked for more from the front desk. Other than that, I was safe and it was a quick check in process. Theres nothing in the immediate area. I would stay in the historic area next time on my return to Lisbon.

Very nice and new hotel. Staff are very friendly. It is located in a safe zone even at night. It is in a walking distance to Plaza de Spain subway or Metro station.
