“The fart hotel”
The lobby and pictures of this hotel are gorgeous. The staff are friendly and helpful. And then you get to the room and it smells like they are pumping in fart air. We had intermittent sewage smells coming into the room the entire time. We didn’t ask for a new room because we felt it would still smell. Rooms are tiny and hard for a couple to put out luggage. Staff was excellent at maintaining sheets/ towels, and the bed was comfortable. The other part that really bugged me- the floor is all made of this strange rubber carpet material… even in the toilet area. Not knowing how extensively this was cleaned made it feel sketchy to walk around barefoot. We used the slippers they gave us which had yellow stains from use- see picture. Definitely would not stay again

This place is an oasis. It is stunning and the staff are amazing. We had been upgraded to a corner suite. Wow! But even if we hadn’t it was very special Don’t let the exterior fool you. It’s what’s on the inside that matters. It’s gorgeous and the reception staff are brilliant Areas to improve Breakfast: lots of empty things and having to ask for plates, cutlery, salt and pepper Bar: The bar man serving us was miserable, didn’t know how to make the cocktail on the menu. Made it very badly.

Love the entry area; very grand, well designed and impressive, breakfast buffet was enjoyable; would have been nice if there were more protein selections besides cold cuts, bacon and sausages. Fruit selection was a bit limited but overall, good. Beds were comfortable but the pillows very lumpy. The room gets a bit warm during the night with no way of turning up the air con.

Comfortable, friendly and well located.
A pleasant, comfortable stay and the staff on reception and restaurant were very helpful and welcoming. Nice touch with a Nespresso coffee machine in the room and sweets at reception. Nice little jacuzzi, spa and sauna area and all in all, the hotel was of a good standard and very clean and tidy.

Overall, I am very happy I picked this hotel, as it was a great location for walking to many sights. Very near a delicious, affordable, and healthy restaurant. I was excited about the hot tub and saunas, but it was a very small area and always in use when I visited with loud voices echoing in the space. Not relaxing as I had hoped. My room was comfortable and nicely designed. Unfortunately, the window was at exactly the same height as the steep street next to the hotel so that people walking by felt very close indeed. It was room 321. I do not think other rooms on this floor would have the same challenge due to the steep street. The breakfast was tasty and plentiful with a decent variety of options. The staff was generally friendly and helpful, but I had an unfortunate hiccup with my request that the hotel arrange my transport from the airport. I decided to pay a premium price for a driver to be waiting for me on arrival and take me straight to the hotel. Unfortunately, the instructions were not clear, and I understood that I was to pay the driver in cash upon arrival. Instead, I was meant to pay the hotel. And, yes, the driver denied that I paid him. Sigh. Instead of believing me, their guest, the hotel kept telling me that the driver denied being paid and That they were going to charge me again for the transport. Thankfully with enough push back, they did not. I found it to be a lovely hotel. Sadly, the issue about the transport tainted my experience.
