This is an exceptional review. We were at the hotel the same night that there was a country-wide total blackout in Portugal. The hotel by no fault of theirs had no electricity, their generators ran out of gas, no A/C, no food, other than the mini bar. Guest manager Sophia walked us to the 13th floor, using her phone as a light. God only knows how many times she did this with other guests. She was lovely. We ended up leaving early in the morning to finally catch a flight. By then the electricity had come back on. The only issue we had was that it would’ve been helpful to scrounge some food in the evening somehow, or offer free breakfast regardless if it was part of the package or not, and to not charge the 4 euros Lisbon expects to get paid- regardless of the circumstances.
