The property was really nice, and the staff was amazing. It's near several walkable restaurants and I love the area in the back where you can bring a lawn chair, blanket and watch the football game outside. I would highly recommend this hotel.

A main floor elevator up to the 4th floor lobby gives a big city vibe to this new small town hotel with warm modern style, while The Elm lobby and bar provides an amazing southern view of Lake Lewisville and downtown Dallas skyline. Next to the Elm you will find a family friendly gathering place and a few small shops, while just south of the road is a historic park, restaurants with outdoor dining, live music and a wakeboard facility providing fun for all ages. If you are looking for big city amenities with small town feel, The Elm has it all.

My first stay at The Elm was on the 4th floor and quite good. My second stay was on the 1st floor and below average. The access cards rarely operated the exterior doors and I always had to walk around to the front, go up to the 4th floor and go down to the 1st floor from there. The toilet was loose on its mounts, the toilet paper holder was loose on the wall, and the shower had not been cleaned well, made me wonder what else was. This trip was disappointing.
