A house in very poor condition
The location is superb. The beds were comfy. Nice conservatory. Apart from this there is nothing to recommend this property. It is extremely shabby and neglected. The kitchen and bathroom need completely updating. There is peeling paint and / or plaster in several rooms and a lot of grubby marks in walls. The kitchen has 2 areas of broken tiles on the floor which are dangerous and none of the floor level cupboards close. The towel radiators are disgusting and rusty. Totally inadequate crockery / cutlery for the number of possible guests and we struggled, being only 2 of us. The outside front is very shabby and unwelcoming. The whole place is unloved and not cared for.

Good stay
This house was a good place to stay. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped. We liked the sunroom. It would have been nice to have some coffee available in the kitchen. They did have instant coffee, but it would be nice to have a better coffee than that. Also, we were wondering about how to find our way to Liverpool. I asked our host and his instructions were not very understandable. In the end, we discovered that the sub the train station was a five minute walk and it took us wherever we wanted to go. I must add that the host was very accommodating, easy to contact And. In fact he checked in on us wants to make sure everything was OK.

Great location - spacious accommodation
Positives - really lovely location a very short distance from Port Sunlight museum and Lady Lever Gallery. We booked for the guided tour and it was very enjoyable and interesting. Plenty of space for four adults - lovely lounge and huge very pretty main bedroom Ample hot water and good shower. However there was no lock at all on the toilet door and not one of the four of us were able to engage the bolt on the separate bathroom door. These are fundamental requirements in any accommodation- not least one that would sleep 5 people and need to be urgently addressed. The outdoor area at the rear would benefit from something like a wooden garden bench. There was a very pleasant conservatory with furniture in it but it wasn’t possible to open the external doors to take that outside ( as per property photographs). Finally there were a number of badly broken floor tiles in the kitchen area. All in all a lovely location, spacious and clean accommodation and an enjoyable stay. Just needs attention on the above to merit 5*.
