the trip to liverpool was wonderful the holiday inn express was a great experience beautiful room everything we needed the staff were excellent and very helpful nothing too much trouble calling for taxis when we needed them and help[ing out with local knowledge. 5 star breakfast great selection and presented beautifully will definately return *****

The entrance was a bit funny. We had walked along the dockside but could not gain access from the dockside entrance. We appreciate the security but this seemed over the top. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was fine with a view of the dock.

The hotel felt more like a prison it was hard to get into reception was on the 2nd floor,the room had no air conditioning was very hot and stuffy one of the windows was broken,breakfast was ok but no fried egg,would not stay there again we left a day early

Super close to Beatles Museum and Tate Liverpool, literally on your doorstep. Staff is great! No safes in room which is a must these days. On a return trip I would definitely stay again.

Staying at The Holiday inn for my daughter’s graduation in Liverpool. Upon check in the hotel had been effected by the world wide Microsoft crash. Staff were working to a manual system. What can I say service was exceptional even in a difficult situation nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely stay at this hotel again.

Booked as we were attending a concert at the M&S Bank Arena. Location was perfect. On arrival check in staff were very friendly and efficient. Our room was very clean and facilities great. Just what we would expect from the Holiday Inn group. Breakfast was the usual buffet style something for everyone. Big question- would we stay here again…….YES without hesitation. Expected much better
On the plus side, room was clean, staff was friendly, and location was fantastic. However, work needs to be done to improve the customer experience. The handle of the toilet in our room had to be “pumped” several times before enough water came to flush. The shower changed from cool to blisteringly hot no matter the temperature setting, and without warning. Although we selected a room with a dock view, the window was so dirty, there really wasn’t a view. There were no electrical or USB plugs near the beds, phones had to be charged on the other side of the room. The mattresses were very hard-like a board. There was no wi-fi. When we arrived we were told it would be fixed in a few hours, but it was still not fixed when we checked out the next day. They offered free coffee and tea in the lobby to offset this “inconvenience” (is it not usually complimentary?) but that didn’t really make up for it. No wi-fi made things very difficult since there was also a mobile phone outage internationally that same day, so we had no communication - no map app, no text, or phone, no way to book tickets or make dinner reservations, or even search for things to do or restaurants.
