It's hit or miss with ABVI. Stayed on/off for a week. 3rd floor stinks like cigarettes/musty. Chairs in the rooms had big stains on them, roaches in rooms, breakfast is below average,sheets and towels with stains/rips, bedding uncomfortable. Had to change rooms due to air conditioner not working properly. Pool is dirty,moldy and cloudy. Convenient location, check in staff very friendly. Problem with Hotels.Com booking, Owner/manger told me he did not get confirmation from Hotels.com. Owner wanted to charge me $50 more to book a room for the night I needed. Hotels.Com corrected error and I was charged the minimal amount. The ONLY reason I stayed on/off for a week is due to a sick family member in the area. I've stayed at other ABVI and have had better experiences. Please, throw the old/dirty looking towels and bedding out!! Replace chairs, Update, Update Update!!

Good Pillows! That’s it.
Check In was fine, but front desk said my room number out loud multiple times—this is an extremely harmful thing when traveling alone as a female. Bathroom had roaches, air conditioner had trouble throughout the night. Towels were pretty ragged and old. Bed and pillows were comfortable though! Don’t get your hopes up about the pool—it’s black and hasn’t been cleaned/treated in ages.

Super clean room for a one night stay when traveling through. We would stay again. Very good hot breakfast. This place was a happy find for us and the price of king size suite with hot breakfast could not be beat!

We stayed for one night and glad it was only one night because the facility was not good. The hotel smelled like it used to allow smoking and is trying to cover it up with cleaning supplies. The sheets and towels were old and pilling. The chair in our room had stains and the bathroom shower looked dirty. The breakfast biscuit and potatoes were dry. The only good thing about the stay was the staff- they were friendly. We would not stay here again.

This is an old property that has seen its better days. I had to stay here because of last minute planning and all the other "nicer" places were sold out. Arrived at location to check in, and had to wait 10 minutes at the front desk for someone to check us in. People just sitting right outside the entrance chain smoking cigarettes. Rooms were old and nasty, just too much to even put here. I will never stay there again.

The website said the hotel had a pool, one of our criteria for choosing to stay there. The pool had been out of commission for a month "waiting for a part". It was very obvious that the pool had not been cleaned for the same amount of time, but guests were allowed to swim...at their own risk. It was obvious that this property was very nice at one point, but little or no yardwork had been done to maintain the outward appearance--unmown grass, decorative plants dying etc. The staff were all polite and willing to help in any way they could, but it was very evident their resources were limited. The price of the room was awesome, but I would have paid more for something nicer had I known this property has been so neglected.

Upon arrival i was greeted with grace and attention by the lady at the front desk. Despite the reviews my room was really clean and so was the rest of the hotel. It is clear that they listen to their quests. Only con is noisy bed frame and you can hear upstair guest noise just a tad bit. I would come back to this hotel in the future
