Beutiful place but very busy. Rooms are very dated but comfortable and the beds are great. Service is always very friendly and the welcome for the dog is always so lovely.

Checked in late. Given what appeared to be an accessible room. Nothing wrong with that other than the plastic mattress covers under the bedsheets. Ok if you’re incontinent I suppose but very uncomfortable and hot. Took them off Also the duvet was extremely heavy and therefore very uncomfortable too

Fantastic location with helpful staff
Staff couldn't do enough for us. We had a problem with the first room and was given another without any problems. The staff that sorted it checked the following day to make sure everything was alright. The rooms are clean with tea / coffee making things, if you required anything extra you just had to ask one of the friendly staff and they got it for you. Great location with good road links to the Scottish borders and beyond. Would definitely stay again when in the area.

Convenient for North/South travel
I stayed here on my way north a nd asked forthe same room on my way back south. It had a very good view over the lake and a small balcony where you could sit and watch the swallows.

Lovely location overlooking a lake with a balcony. Room a bit tired but good for an over night stay. Cleanliness could be improved found chips on the floor in the room. Friendy staff very helpful when checking in.
