Quite a trendy modernised building. If you are in basement rooms the subway train noises repetitively could cause you to wake but they do stop after midnight and dont start again. Room 1614 could do with a blind on bathroom door as is looking to courtyard and other room could see you walking around naked! Also a deadlock chain on door too. Bath towels wont wrap round a size 16 body. Would stay there again, very convenient location next to Paddington. We stayed in a superior twin.

The property is a walking distance to Paddington Station where you can catch trains direct to Heathrow Airport and also fast trains to other parts of UK. Most convenient place to stay if you are looking for a place just to sleep overnight or couple of days. There is Hilton Hotel nearby that I go for breakfast....and there are excellent restaurants in the neighborhood - love this neighborhood

This is a cute hotel, very traditional, with beautifully renovated rooms. It is super convenient near Paddington station. There are not lots of faciliites, and rooms are basic. But it's a great place to stay in London.

We had a great stay at St Davids. The hotel is in very good condition and very well-located in the Paddington area, at a walking distance from pretty much everything and just 5-min from the Paddington station. The rooms are quite small but this was expected; note that you may be assigned (as we were) on the last floor (5th) with no elevator. They also offer to keep luggages for late check-out for no additional fee which was very much appreciated.

my stay was great! staff was very nice. quick walk to paddington station. only cons were you have to leave ur key at the door whenever you leave, no fridge in the single room, and to have a guest in the room, you have to pay an extra fee. other than that everything was great!

This property was affordable and functional. It was simply old, well worn, and very tiny. The hotel lacked many basic amenities (no A/C, no in room coffee maker, no adjustable thermostat, no room for even a small make up bag on the vanity). The sink basin was smaller that a sheet of standard paper and often backed up. It was however very close to all types of transportation (Piccadilly station) and near endless dining options. The room was located on top of the subway lines so the rumbling of the train was constant. The size of the room was so small that immediately upon entering the room the shower was visible to the right and the toilet to your left (separate rooms). The queen sized bed took up most of the room leaving little room for storage. Again, it was functional encouraging us to get out and enjoy the beautiful city around us.

I was assigned 3rd floor room which is really more than 6 flights of narrow stairs. The staff helped me get my luggage up and down the stairs. The lower floors you could feel and hear the train until about 11 pm. The staff was very helpful. The hotel is located ina row of hotels just across from Paddington Park and Train station.

Poor value for money
This was listed as a 3-star hotel, but had no restaurant, room service or amenities. After speaking with the manager she told me this rating was “recommended by Expedia” and had nothing to do with the nationally recognised AA standards. This was extremely misleading. The room itself was pokey and the bathroom felt like a train toilet. The bathroom was completely unventilated. This was a lot worse than many of the basic hotels I have stayed in in other European capital cities, but a lot more expensive! Very poor value.
