I booked this hotel on a whim since it was close to Universal, and I feel like I hit the jackpot. Compared to everywhere around here, this was half the price! The room was cozy, incredibly clean, and with all of the amenities well-stocked. Universal is a 15 minute walk away (to their shuttle), or a 30 minute walk directly to the park. The area is really nice with some solid food options, and very walkable. Additionally, the four staffers I met during my stay were all incredibly nice. They made sure I had anything I needed, I got an early check-in, and it was no problem when I decided to stay an extra two nights. I’m definitely booking here again. For the price, you can’t beat the room and location. 10/10

Pros: The staff were very friendly. The beds were clean and comfy. Walking distance to Universal Studios and a couple of restaurants and a grocery store. Cons: very strong smell of cleaning solution in the room that was present for the 4 days we were there. No coffee machine in the room.

El Royale was fine. It looked like it was just renovated, but not quite finished? There were a few things that would be nice, a full length mirror and some artwork on the walls. The furniture was a bit dated. BUT, the beds were really really comfortable! It was a cute place and the management was lovely.

Bathroom sink did not have any hot water. Not sure about the shower because we did not use it. Also room description stated that there will be complementary bottle of water and there was not, had to go to the store at night

The staff was very friendly, and understanding! Our drive to California started off late, which caused us to arrive past the required check in time. The closing manager stayed over 2 after after his shift ended to accommodate us with our check in. He saw we had a baby, and let us in our room before we were fully checked in. The morning staff was very friendly. The cleaning staff was very polite and professional. We recommend this place highly! It’s not high end but it’s cozy.

Great stay!
This little hotel was a nice place to stay for our Universal Studios trip. The rooms are modern and clean. The staff was great! We mistakenly thought check out was at 11:00am instead of 10:00am. The owner was very nice in accommodating us for a later check out. We would definitely stay here again.

It is a Motor Hotel. The picture they post is deceiving since it is not a Tower. It is in the process of being renovated, yet still some stuff will remain old, like doors and certain aromas.
